The Octane SL road cycling shoe from Pearl Izumi is among the lightest weight shoes available. Everything about this minimal shoe is designed purely for energy transfer and wieght savings. The unidirectional carbon fiber sole has only a 7mm stack height while being incredibly stiff. It has a one piece upper that hugs the foot keeping you comfotrably and securely on the pedals. A synthetic leather lined heel cup enhances retention for added control. We've found this shoe to run about a size small.
