Comments about Nashbar Saddle Rail Bracket:

I bought these adapters because my bottle cages were getting in the way of mounting my commuter bike on my car rack. With my cages now behind me, my bike fits like it's supposed to! I bought 2 more for my carbon bike!

Comments about Nashbar Saddle Rail Bracket:

I got these adapters to move my water bottles from the seat and down tubes, as the cages interferred with my ability to easily get my bike onto my bike rack. They work perfectly! I can easily load my bike up with no interference from the cages now. It took a little getting used to, grabbing my bottles from behind but I quickly caught on!

Gets the job done at a great price

Comments about Nashbar Saddle Rail Bracket:

Will be doing a half-ironman soon and needed more hydration options. Looking around at other rear hydration systems and did not want to drop that kind of money on what seemed to be something simple. So glad I found this. Its relatively easy to install (I bought 2, one for each rail), though it was a little difficult working in such little space to tighten the screws. My only complaint is that there are not many adjustments in terms of angles/position. you are limited to the angle of the rails, and that is it. This definitely gets the job done, and at only a tiny fraction of what the other systems cost.

Comments about Nashbar Saddle Rail Bracket:

I bought two of these to hold bottles during training for an Ironman. They are not completely 'plug and play', but I recommend them if you don't want to pay over $100 for a rear-hydration system. You will need to play with these to get the angle and position the way you want it, and you will need to use locktite or something on the screws to keep them from vibrating out. You will also need to use a good strong bottle cage. I used it first with standard cages and lost the bottles. I switched to Bontrager tri-cages and they stay put now. I also replaced the small screw that holds the black plastic on with a longer one, it is too short and that causes it to strip out, as another review said already. So they are not perfect, but I bought good cages and have a solid and dependable rear hydration system with spare tubes, tools and a safety light for under $50. I am buying two more to set up my wife's bike.

Comments about Nashbar Saddle Rail Bracket:

These are not entirely aluminum. The black piece that the bottle cage bolts into is made of bakalite plastic. I had issues with this portion snapping on super rough roads.
The Bolt retaining the plastic piece to the aluminum mount has stripped mulitiple times.
I highly recomend a wrap around style bottle cage. This will stop the bottles from bouncing out.

Comments about Nashbar Saddle Rail Bracket:

It looks nice and stayed put, but it won't hold a bottle. The angle it places the bottle at is perfect for ejecting the bottle over bumps. it happened three times on a 30 mile ride, and I took it off.

Comments about Nashbar Saddle Rail Bracket:

A very easy-to-install bottle bracket mount that goes onto your seat rail. It keeps the bottle in a fairly aero position and doesn't spill out all the water. You can install two, one on each seatpost rail provided you have seatpost rails that are accessible and you're mostly in a forward position, not sitting back too far. It takes a little getting used to removing and reinserting the bottles when underway, but still works pretty well, especially, again for the price. Double-bottle holders with seatpost mounting are considerably more expensive.
