Comments about Nashbar Gel Max Gloves:

I ride anywhere between 20 to 100 miles out at least 4 times a week. These gloves are very comfortable and have a good gel pads in the right areas. I will be buying another pair of these.

      Strategic Gel Padding

Comments about Nashbar Gel Max Gloves:

"Strategic gel padding" means "not enough gel padding". The gel padding is in spots on the glove, but not on entire palm. As others stated, they also need a velcro closure. I much prefer the $8 crochet back gloves. I'll keep these for backup.

Bought these for road biking in humid South Florida. Lightweight and cool these gloves allowed me to grip my bars. Last only a few rides and a couple of hundred miles before they started to separate at the seams. More than a little disappointing.

Comments about Nashbar Gel Max Gloves:

These are good average gloves that I use in rotation with a couple of other pairs. They haven't gone through the wash yet so I can't comment on how they will do in that regard. They are comfortable and a bit on the heavy side but I like the padding and the fit.

Comments about Nashbar Gel Max Gloves:

The gel on these gloves seems great (though I have little experience wearing them so far). It is well placed and very firm. If it doesn't break down too quickly, I'll be very happy with it.

The downside is that I find the gloves difficult to get on and (especially) off. They really need a velcro closure on the back, as every other pair of bike gloves I have owned (and that's a lot) has had.

Aside from this flaw, I would recommend these gloves, given their price, but be prepared to spend extra time getting them on and off.

I was skeptical when I ordered these gloves, but that skepticism quickly went away. I have worn several different brands and so far these are the best. Very comfortable and no tingy hands.

Comments about Nashbar Gel Max Gloves:

I use these gloves for road biking. Like Tony the Tiger says, "they're great." They are the most comfortable riding gloves I own. And I got them on sale so they're also the least expensive. I tried other, more expensive, gloves from other companies but they just didn't measure up. The bottom line is they stop my hands from getting numb far longer than the others and are a snug fit, which I like. The padding on the palm does the trick. Great value for the price.

Comments about Nashbar Gel Max Gloves:

I was looking for gloves with gel padding and these looked perfect; so I ordered two pair, a Blue and a Red. After they arrived, they looked well made and the gel padding looked good and was nicely placed. At this point I would have given them a 5-Star. But then I tried to put them on and found that they did not have a Velcro closure at the wrist, like most other gloves have. Instead they have a small elastic insert below the base of the thumb. I have large hands (ordered the XL), but still had much trouble getting them on and off. I'm not sure why they did that, but to me it is a major design flaw; I would not buy them again nor recommend them. Obviously, I did not realize the one comment that would have alerted me to this flaw: "Slip-on design for easy-on, easy-off convenience". Sorry, but I find this a major inconvenience!
