Comments about Nashbar Stealth 2 Baggy Shorts:

Let me preface by saying this is my first pair of baggy mountain bike shorts. They're fine, lots of pocket space which is great. My issue is the waist size. I ordered medium, which is 32-34. Being a 32, I had to use the velcro tabs on the sides to make the shorts much smaller. They slide down all the time and the stretchy part located in the taint region catches on my saddle horn all the time. It is very annoying.

Comments about Nashbar Stealth 2 Baggy Shorts:

The size was perfect and they feel good but I wish they weren't so "noisy". I ride 3-4 days a week with a bike club and have picked up the nickname of "noisy pants" since I started to use these shorts. The material rubs against your upper legs. Also wish that the liner was not attached to the outer shell. I will probably cut the two attachments.

Comments about Nashbar Stealth 2 Baggy Shorts:

The zipper broke the very first time I tried them on. Shipping costs are about the same as having the zipper replaced. Kind of a hassle, and I'm disappointed that the zipper was so flimsy. Other than that, the shorts are comfortable and fit relatively close to the sizing on the website.

I use it when I ride my bike to town and just go on a recreational ride. The only thing about them they feel plastic or a polyster feel and they make a swishing sound while pedalling. They would be great a bathing suit take the inner pad out

Comments about Nashbar Stealth 2 Baggy Shorts:

I am a big guy (6'2", 280 lbs.) and I was concerned these would not fit me. I got the XXL size and I like them so much I ordered a second pair. I did cut the loops holding the two pieces together to make them easier to put on and to make them more versatile. Once you go padded, you'll never go back!

Comments about Nashbar Stealth 2 Baggy Shorts:

I needed a good cover short to protect my bike shorts, abrasions and snags really shorten their life. The nashbar Stealth II shorts do the job and look good doing it.
Light weight and durable, they definitely add the extra layer of protection I was looking for. I will buy another pair for back-up!

Comments about Nashbar Stealth 2 Baggy Shorts:

I ride about 500 miles a month, anywhere between 10-35 miles per day, most of it as a workout. I loved these when I first put them on because my last shorts had only one zipper pocket, into which I put just ID and cash.

These shorts have a small velcro pocket on the front of the right leg, which I use for ID and money. Two larger "backwards" pockets on the outside of each leg for whatever else - big enough for an iPhone or sunglasses. I've put a 12 oz. can in those pockets, but not while biking. The velcro on the waist works great for me. Snap closure on waist and zipper work smoothly.

The elastic on the inner shorts seems a bit tighter than it would need to be, but it hasn't been a problem.

I'd prefer if the inner shorts were removable, but I have had no trouble with the retention loops twisting, although I am careful when I put them in the washer and I untwist the loops when I hang them up every day.

Comments about Nashbar Stealth 2 Baggy Shorts:

Catch it on sale and it's a good purchase. I use it for trail riding and indoor cycling classes. Two things to note when you are buying: the lycra inset shorts are shorter than you'd expect and they run narrow in the thigh. Fit isn't terrible, but it's not great. So, get them on sale.

Now, if Nashbar did the following these would best all the name brands:

Make the inner short removable. Change the weak string strap to a button snap so you can separate them.

Put in a higher quality inner short. Use your high end road cycling lycra rather than a pared down inner.

Consider adding a cinch adjustment to the wasteline. Even with the side velcro, I can't get a great fit and they slide around while trail riding.

These shorts are great. I bought them earlier this spring and put on about 800 miles wearing this pair and have nothing to complain about. No sores on me and no rips or tears in the shorts after all the rides and the washes. Great pockets as well.
