I use this to train my sled dog team. It can easily mount to my cart or sled. It is soooo nice to know how fast and far they are actually going! I would recomend this for any type of sport involving a cart, bike, or sled. It is very accurate. I should have bought one a while ago.

Comments about Garmin Edge 200 GPS Bike Computer -:

I bought it to replace my old bike computer. No more wires or magnets that come loose. Makes For no-fuss wheel changes. Gives me everything I want on one screen. Slightly bulky, but the screen is good size and easily readable. Install and set up in 5 mins. Moves easily between other bikes. Extremely accurate. Includes one extra mounting bracket and bands.

Was looking for a simple to use computer for road use. This is it. Easy setup. Mounts to the bar with ease and does what it is suppose to do. No frills, but if I wanted more I would have bought a different computer.

Comments about Garmin Edge 200 GPS Bike Computer -:

I've had the Garmin Edge 205 for years and it started having battery issues so I decided to 'upgrade' to the Edge 200. I was hoping that the newer 200 would have the same features as the older 205, but that isn't the case.

On its own merit, the 200 is a decent entry level bike GPS. But compared to the older entry level 205, the 200 is a little disappointing.

I have 2 main issues with the 200.

Issue # 1 is that it offers limited data fields and doesn't allow the ability to customize which fields and where on the screen the fields are displayed. The 205 had 24 data fields to choose from and you could display up to 8 fields anywhere on the screen.

Issue # 2 is that it won't display a map while in route mode. This is useful if you're riding through the woods (or the city) and want to use breadcrumbs to get back to where you started.

I feel that both these issues could be fixed by Garmin with a firmware upgrade.

If the 200 had the same features as the 205, this would easily be a 5 star product.

Comments about Garmin Edge 200 GPS Bike Computer -:

This isn't really a GPS. I did what research I could then called Nashbar for verification. I wanted a simple GPS that could help us on an upcoming bike trip. I wanted a GPS that would help us if we got off track/lost. This isn't it.

It is a fine, wireless bike computer. If you download a route into the unit, it will tell you if you are off course. It has no maps.

I guess I was expecting too much. It was inexpensive. If you want simple courses, speed, calories, etc. This is fine. On sale, with the rebate, it would be close to $100.
