Comments about Michelin Pro4 Road Tire:

I've been a happy user of Continental GP4000S2 tires on my road bike for years, but picked up a set of these on sale after reading a lot of positive reviews. So far they have proven as good or better. I've used these for four century rides including stretches of packed dirt, potholes, and a lot of cracked pavement. I also use them for my weekend training rides which start on glass-strewn, nasty suburban Boston roads. In four months and more than 1,500 miles I've gotten one flat from a shard of glass that appears to have gradually worked its way through. There are the normal cuts in the outer rubber layer but no worse than even the incredibly uncomfortable Gatorskins I used back in the day. Ride quality is exceptional - smooth, quiet, grippy, and fast. The rear tire is a bit squared off in the center, but that's been my experience with every comfortable tire, and for the hard miles I've put on them (220 lbs) not really surprising. The current sale price on Nashbar is a deal - get a pair just to have them ready when you need them.

I ride everyday, no matter the weather, for one or plus hours. These tires have a great road feel and last. I use another wheel/tire combo for racing, however for training this is my go to tire for feel and durability.

Comments about Michelin Pro4 Road Tire:

I have been using the Pro 4 Service Course tires in 700x25 since 2012. They provide a very good fast sure ride. I'm very impressed with the road feel especially when cornering. Be aware that these aren't a heavy commuter tire and "can" get cut if there's a lot of trash on the roads. The 25 size does run large so be aware if clearances are tight in your frame. The only problems that I've had with any of the sets that I've had is when I've been stupid in my riding. The first couple of sets that I've had I ran down to the cords. Good tires at a great price.

Ride weekends with friends and periodic century riding. These tires work well, look great while resisting punctures when new. After a few thousand miles they do start to get punctures. Overall good deal!

Comments about Michelin Pro4 Road Tire:

Smooth, fast, great and handling. Durable and decent wear for a fast tire. Suitable for fast group rides or local racing. This tire is NOT a commuter tire like a Gatorskin, which trades speed and ride for durability. Both are solid choices for their intended usage.

these tires look great on my blue bike, and they handle very well. they had good puncture resistance as well until one of them got a slash in the tire. they do wear much faster than the ultra gator's i usually use

I've had two sets of these. Each of them experienced a front blowout as I went over a small crack in the road. They were NOT overinflated. I'm done with this tire, and will no longer support Michelins poor quality with another purchase, and will be switching to another brand.

Comments about Michelin Pro4 Road Tire:

This is a great tire for both training and touring. Inspired by Michelin's MOTO GP styled tire these grip very well while cornering. The puncture protection is a welcome feature if you travel gritty city streets or unkept roads. They roll well and when paired with lightweight latex tubes and wheels will rival the feel of a carbon wheelset. Try 'em!
