SRAM Red Braze-on Front Derailleur - 2013
If there's thing that drives us absolutely crazy, it's dialing in a front derailleur. Even when we think we've got it pretty much right, that doesn't mean it won't still drop a chain or rub every now and again. So we're pretty glad that SRAM introduced their all-new 2013 SRAM Red Braze-On Front Derailleur. By incorportating something SRAM calls YAW technology, this new front derailleur is probably the biggest evolution in front shifting in a long time. Instead of just moving the cage back and forth, the YAW derailleur actually rotates as well, so you no longer need to trim the derailleur. That means faster, smoother and more precise shifting. They also incorporated a chain keep, so you can say good bye to dropped chains, even with a badly aligned derailleur.
Optimized for use with SRAM X GlideR chainrings
Lightweight integrated chain spotter adjusts independently of the derailleur and prevents the chain from dropping off the inner chainring
Revolutionary yaw cage rotates to maintain constant alignment with the chain for faster, more precise shifting with no need for trimming
Cage is fabricated from a steel/aluminum combination for strength and durability
Precision markings indicate proper installation and set-up for best performance
