Comments about Nashbar Ram Single-Speed Road Bike:
I was able to get this little gem during a 20% off special (total was about $240). At that price, it's a great purchase that provides a great platform for any upgrades or swap outs that you might want on it. The frame and fork are nicely done. The color is a royal blue (October 2013) and the paint job looks flawless. I mention the color because I thought it was black. Again, it's a quality job, not at all unpleasant, but if you want black, you need to keep that in mind. I am comfortable on 56 cm bikes usually, but CHECK THE SIZE CHART carefully before ordering. This led me to ordering this bike in 54cm and it's just fine this way. I had a lighter handlebar, so that went on there, as well as a lighter saddle. Nothing wrong with the bike as is, however. Gearing works out fine for the moderately rolling and flat ride I have on my commute to work. I did switch out the brake levers to a set of Cane Creek standard road bike levers with hoods. I'm on road bikes a lot, so I favored having a familiar setup for this bike. I gave this bike a five star rating because it's a very nice balance of parts, performance and price. I'd certainly buy it again without regrets.
