Comments about Selle Italia Q-Bik SE Saddle:

On my road bike I have used a Selle Italia Max Flite for the last 24,246 miles without numbness or sores. But I didn't want to pay that much for a seat for my mid-life crisis (Bianchi Pista single speed). I tested the Q-Bik first on my commuter (cross) bike; when I put the old seat back on, I decided I wanted the Q-Bik on both rides. So I am buying another. It's not a Max Flite but it's comfortable and looks good.

Comments about Selle Italia Q-Bik SE Saddle:

I got this to replace a stock Specialized saddle on my bike that was old and falling apart. I had to break it in for a couple weeks (the first couple of days was pretty rough on my butt), but soon it was comfortable enough to commute on. About 2.5 weeks after getting the saddle, I really put it to the test on a ride a little longer than a century. Even though the saddle is smaller and seemingly less padded than my old saddle, it was way more comfortable and I barely had any discomfort until very close to the end of the ride, which is to be expected after sitting on a saddle for 8 hours.

currently using this saddle on the trainer and have been training 5-6 times a week and so far there are no sore spots. It fits comfortably and wears evenly and smoothly which prevents chafing. I would definitely recommend to a friend and have already!

Just ok. I replaced my Trek 1.1 seat and this is a slight improvement. Not a bad price and not a bad product.

Comments about Selle Italia Q-Bik SE Saddle:

I'm new to road biking and have been pimping out the road bike I've purchased. I love the look of this saddle, but after 5 miles or so, my butt / inner thighs were very sore. As a friend of mine said, I might just have a 'newb butt', but being sore for days after a ride is not really what I wanted. I ended up buying a Becoz Athletic Saddle from Nashbar and I love it. After I ride more, I might try this saddle again, but for the moment, it's just not comfortable enough for me personally. I mainly got my bike for exercise and to stay and shape and have a flat-bar road bike.

Comments about Selle Italia Q-Bik SE Saddle:

I bought it to replace an old Selle San Marcos saddle that the cover was wearing out on. The new one gets the job done nicely. It is a bit heavier but I will never notice on my Schwinn Traveler from 1980. I ride about 1000 miles a year and I think it will last for a while.

Bicycle seats are not easy to shop. What works for me may not work for someone else. So far, this one works for me (did a 66 mile ride today).
I am an old timer so normal ride is 30 to 40 miles 5 days a week.

Comments about Selle Italia Q-Bik SE Saddle:

I bought this in the spring as a temporary saddle while I waited for my LBS to get their Fizik stock in. Well, my LBS never got the full Fizik line and I go to really like this seat. I've put over 1500 miles on this on two bikes and have done a 76, 103, and a 125 mile trip on this with no problems. I am buying another one right now for a touring bike I am putting together. I might even buy a couple more since they don't cost much and I want a few spares.
The cut out is perfect. It actually helps keep me positioned properly, if I slide too far forward or too far back, I feel the pressure on the boys and know to shift.
I've had this on a 2012 Felt F75x and mostly on my 2014 Felt Z5 carbon bike. I am not a weight weenie, I'm sure there are other seats out there that are lighter, but I'm not messing with something that works so well.

Comments about Selle Italia Q-Bik SE Saddle:

After reading all the review I was really excited about this purchase couldn't wait to replace the OEM. Unfortunately the excitement died fairly quickly. I did not get any chaffing or sores as some other reviewer experienced. The problem is two-fold. Number one you can't find the exact spot the seat should be mounted. I tried moving the seat up, moving it backward. I tried angling it slightly downward, then tried angling it upward, I tried leveling the seat no matter where I position it I just couldn't find a comfortable spot. I felt I was always fidgity in the seat. The second problem is as one reviewer already mentioned the seat material is slippery and you seem to be constantly adjusting yourself. Long story short I returned the seat. Bought a WTB Laser Pro V, excellent and very comfortable put it onto the bike and never had to move it. Perfect first time out.

Comments about Selle Italia Q-Bik SE Saddle:

It could very well be just me?

I read all the reviews and thought this saddle will help but not the case. Still experience numbness at about 1 hour into a ride. Sore "butt bones" and chaffing worse than what I experienced with the saddle I replaced.

I have taken four 20 mile rides and two 40+ rides and tried different liner shorts and bike shorts but nothing changed.

This saddle is going back... a wise woman rider told me when buying a bike saddle best buy local you can try them out and not have to deal with shipping the wait etc... Nashbar is exceptional with returns and handling issues however, "it" the return process is not the same as if you are at a local shop.
