Nashbar Daytrekker Panniers
If your cycling game is commuting or single-day touring, you don't want to turn your bike into "Old Saddlebags." A nice, slim, and smart pair of panniers is just the ticket--and Nashbar's DayTrekker Panniers fit the bill. Deceivingly petite, these panniers have 12 liters of capacity which is perfect for when you're not packing the whole farm. DayTrekkers are made with 600 denier nylon and EDF backing for optimal toughness and water resistance...and to add to weatherproofing and security, each side has a drawstring and nylon clip to keep your stuff super snug. Plus, these easy-to-mount panniers have an ultra-reinforced back to avoid damage over miles.
  • 600 denier nylon is scuff, tear, rip, and puncture resistant--in a big way
  • EDF backing keeps rain or sweat on the outside
  • Easy rack mounting takes about 1 minute
  • Drawstring/clip closure adds security and weatherproofing
  • 11 liters of storage capacity
  • Reflective Logos
  • Bungie cinch on top for pump, umbrella, baguette, bottle of wine

Comments about Nashbar Daytrekker Panniers:

This version 3 (NA-DTP3) of the Daytrekker pannier is built more rugged than the previous version, but also harder to mount (really strong elastic cords) than the previous version (NA-DTP2). I prefer the DTP2 for casual city cycling as it's easier to install and remove. Suggestion: Nashbar needs to bring back the DTP2 as a lower cost casual cycling bag. Wish it was still available.

    Comments about Nashbar Daytrekker Panniers:

This bag is smaller than I thought. I wanted it for short commutes to work and wasn't sure I could get everything I needed into it. After a little practice I found the size to be adequate. It's easy to use, sits easily on a back rack. The hooks at the bottom of the bags don't seem that secure, so I added O rings and hooked the hooks to the frame further down.

      Comments about Nashbar Daytrekker Panniers:

This purchase was a replacement for my last pair of panniers that I purchased from Nashbar that wore out after many years and many miles. These were a bit smaller than the last ones but will work just fine.

        Comments about Nashbar Daytrekker Panniers:

Over the years, I've owned 2 previous versions of the Daytrekker Panniers. This version is by far, the best. Made from more heavyweight material and improved stitching, so I expect this set to be far more durable and longer lasting.

Good product, but too small to fit clothes and work stuff in there.

              Comments about Nashbar Daytrekker Panniers:

I have an older model, but it looks like the only difference is the large logo on the flap. i use mine for very small hauls, usually down to the local tastee freez. i have jammed a small softsided insulated bag to keep the booty cold.

i have been able to get a collapsible fishing kit and tackle in one side. also stuff some shoes in a pocket if need be. you can make it work, but for small loads.
