Quite simply these shorts fully live up to their elite name, all at a price that's anything but. The Cannondale Elite Bib Shorts are comfortable and supportive with 8 panels of anatomic shaping, unreal moisture wicking, plush a chamois to keep you cool, fresh and dry no matter how many miles you ride.
Miti Zaffiro W fabric provides muscle compression, wicks moisture, and dries quickly
Chamois is plush, aids heat dispersion, plus has natural bacteriostatic and antistatic properties
Stretch mesh bib upper provides comfort and breathability
Elastic leg cuff ensures shorts don't ride up
Lined media pocket keeps your mobile device safe and secure
This was my first attempt at buying a little bit more expensive and hopefully higher quality bibs.
The material of the bibs is good, yet a bit slippery in you have somewhat slick saddle. It snags easily and fibers can be seen extruding from the bibs once it's been brushed against anything even slightly abrasive. I am pleased, however, with the wicking quality of the bibs.
These bibs are more of a gray color once stretched on your body, not black as I had anticipated. The leg grippers do a decent job, although I wish the underside of the leg grippers had the typical sticky siding as well instead of being solely elastic. They don't ride up your leg too bad, but they could be better. The straps are mesh, lightweight and very breathable. I'm built a bit thicker in the chest, so I feel like they are already stretching after a couple hundred miles and getting looser.
The chamois padding is thick and adequate for most standard rides. I've been on a couple rides 100+ with these already, and feel that they did a decent job.
Now, my biggest peeve. The stitching around the chamois pad is not seamless. Rather, the seams are larger than I would have anticipated. This results in some terrible rubbing on the sensitive areas of your body. I was extremely disappointed with the stitching, as it tends to rub me raw every time I use these bibs.
Overall, I give these bibs a "C+". I certainly expected bibs that typically retail for $125-150 to be much better than what these were. I won't be buying these again, as I'd much rather try my luck with a different bib that might actually be more comfortable.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
This pair of bibs is very comfortable. I have worn them only once on a club ride and did not even notice the pad. I am 6'1" tall wt. 193, and the XL fit fine. Very comfortable. I will have to wait and see how they wear over time.
