Diamondback is one of the first names since bikes met dirt, so it's no surprise that they're designing some of the most awesome mountain bikes around. The Recoil comp 29er is a perfect example of a trail-slayer dressed to the nines with great components.
First, this 29er has a T6-6061 double butted aluminum frame which sports a Rock Shox Monarch R rear shock and the Suntour XCR front fork which both have a full 100mm of travel. With that kind of action, this beast soaks up some trail and takes downhills like a porch glider. The fork also has a remote control lockout, so when you're climbing, deactivate the suspension and say goodbye to your riding buddies--they can catch up with you later.
Let's take a second to look at this drivetrain, which is all Shimano. The Altus/Alivio derailleur setup shifts on a dime so you won't be left stomping on your hat at the bottom of an incline. The Alivio Octalink crankset is pretty much indestructible, and with 22, 32, 42t chainring set, you can go from bombing to climbing in a matter of seconds.
Add all this up with the other goodies like double wall alloy wheels, killer WTB tires, super reliable Hayes mechanical disc brakes, and Diamondback alloy stem, handlebars and seatpost, and you are looking at a finely engineered piece of fast, light, trail eating machine.
