It's a bold move to name a frameset after an ascent famed in Euro pro cycling lore and legend, but the Mekk Poggio fully delivers on such lofty ambitions. At its core is a 3K Monocoque carbon frame for the ultimate in stiffness and lightweight while its classic geometry means you'll have the perfect all-rounder to handle any route's challenges with verve and panache. Mekk takes full advantage of its BB86's eponymous 86mm width to make an absolutely massive bottom bracket for full-on, pedal-to-the-metal power transfer when so inclined. Add in a stout, bi-ovalized down tube plus deep chain stays and every watt of power generated will go straight into the pursuit of speed. Up front a 3K full carbon fork, with a 1-1/8" to 1.5" tapered steerer tube, ensures responsive handling while keeping the gram count low. Let your imagination run wild regarding the components you choose for a complete build, especially since the super-clean fully internal cable routing is set up for full Di2 compatibility (even including a battery mount so you won't have to resort to zip-ties).
Mekk is the brainchild of Mark Edwards (ME) and Ken Knight (KK), a pair of Brits with extensive experience in high-performance cycling at both the racing and production end of the spectrum, and they've delivered a tour de force bike worthy of the legacy of Milan-San Remo's iconic Poggio ascent.
