      Comments about Nashbar Pedal Wrench:

Made an impossible task easy. After trying numerous regular open end and adjustable wrenches, I gave up and bought this. The pedal came off in about 2 seconds, should have actually got one years ago. It may be a little wide for some specialty pedals, but I think it will be fine for the vast majority. Remember to go to youtube if you forget which direction to turn.

          Best Uses

            Comments about Nashbar Pedal Wrench:

Completely agree with prior reviewers about the rubberized handle. First, the wrench is a bit short to give proper leverage for stubborn pedals -- especially considering the last 1-2" is pure rubber to accommodate the hole. Second, the rubber grip isn't molded on, so slips down the metal wrench.

            Comments about Nashbar Pedal Wrench:

The wrench works just like a wrench should. You can turn it clockwise, and counter-clockwise. Just fantastic. I have only one small beef with the wrench, the last two inches of the handle is just rubber. The steel doesn't run right to the end which is a little frustrating when you are looking for maximum leverage to take off stuck pedals. But overall the price is right, and it is much nicer than working with Allen wrenches...

              Comments about Nashbar Pedal Wrench:

Very nice tool. For most pedals systems this tool is a must to properly torque them to the crank arms. Not too thick nor too thin at the critical areas. I wonder if the plastic grip will span the test of time though.

got one pedal off with a lot of effort, other pedal had to give up and go to the bike shop where they had a much bigger wrench. if your pedals are stuck on really hard, you'll have to work to get them off. in that case you're better off spending the money for a park. i spent two hours trying to get that pedal off. the extra 20 bucks would have been well spent. but if you maintain your pedals well, this will do.

                          Comments about Nashbar Pedal Wrench:

It's a wrench. It's big and it's black and it can help get your pedals off your bike. Unless they're the hex key type, then this won't help at all. But if they're the pedal wrench type, then this will do the trick. Because it's a pedal wrench.

The single best feature of this pedal wrench is that it's pretty long. No, seriously. When your pedals are stuck--and they're always stuck--you want as much leverage as you can get. This one does pretty well in that department.

I can't think of any real downsides to this thing. It's solid, it's pretty long, and it got my pedals off my bike.
