Comments about Nashbar Woody Multi Tool:

Well, I didn't have huge expectations with this tool, given the price, and it is heavy, but I expected that. What I have been disappointed with is the poor quality metal. I use this when road biking and the occasional mountain bike, and usually it's left in my jersey pocket during the ride. Well thus, it gets a little sweaty/moist. It's gotten pretty rusty after over a year of use. Also the tools are a little loose on the mounting bars and do flop around a bit. But there are a great number of useful tools on here that many multitools don't have, a couple of screwdrivers, chain tools, etc. I guess you just need to really keep this tool away from any type of moisture.

Comments about Nashbar Woody Multi Tool:

This Is a pretty tough and heavy multi-tool. Fairly well built. I agree it is a tad on the heavy side, but having all the tools in one place makes up for it to me. Wood grain is a nice visual +, the tool has a pop out allen key to adjust the tension of the tools which is very good. And a nice feature is that it has magnet that helps it stay in place, very well engineered. If you know the troubles of having all your multi tools moving around, getting in your way when you're trying to adjust a seatpost or whatnot then this is a great tool to keep around.

    Big and Bulky

    By Steamboat Erik

    Cons

    • Big heavy poorly made

Comments about Nashbar Woody Multi Tool:

This tool sucks. I bought this to bring along on road rides, but will not be bringing it because it is too big to fit in my seat wedge.
The individual tools look strong enough but do not have a smooth fit and finish.
I would say this tool is worth no more than what I paid for it including the 20% discount.

If big and heavy don't bother you, and you can live with second-rate quality, could be a good tool.

Comments about Nashbar Woody Multi Tool:

i love this thing! for [$] you're not going to do any better. it's not super lightweight, so maybe not the best tool for road cyclists/gram counters, but unlike the tiny superlight tools, it's big enough to get good leverage on all of the tools, and it has a tool for everything on my bike (except specialty jobs like bottom bracket and cassette removal...but if you need to remove a bottom bracket you're not gonna do that on the trail anyway.)the oak grips are a purely aesthetic touch, but a nice one. reminds me of my dad's tools. plus it looks cooler than my friends' gear, and we all know that having cooler stuff than your buddies is 50% of cycling ;)

Too heavy & bulky when compared to other multi-tools with all the tools (including chain breaker). Takes up to much room in the bag, ect.

useful tool, a tad heavy and a little big. Fits nicely in a saddle wedge. I keep one on my mountain bike, but have something smaller for the roadie.

This is a great tool to have in your saddle bag, or even just as a tool. It's strong, very useful, and inexpensive. Very handy when you're 40 miles from home and need to adjust something, or even if you're home and want to quickly true a wheel without getting out the toolset.

Comments about Nashbar Woody Multi Tool:

Got this [...] mostly because I was looking for a multi-tool with some specialty parts, i.e. chain tool and spoke wrenches. First thing first i tried it on an old rusty chain that has links that are even rusted together, and though it is a little quirky to handle, it works fine. I feel like it is kinda on the heavy side, probably about as much as my leatherman's type tool. It does have a plethora of hex sizes plus a couple of star wrenches, but I normally prefer to carry a seperate Hex Multitool that is more effective and has more leverage.Still, it is definately worth its price [...] and the spoke wrenches are usefull if they fit your bike and you're the type that travels far enough to be in danger of having a broken spoke far from home.
