    Comments about Bellwether Windfront Tights:

Comfortable, light weight and non binding is how I would describe these pants. Still enough room to run a base layer if you had to on super cold rides. I ride really early mornings before work and so far its only dipped down to the mid 40s.
These have been perfect with no base layer. Remember that there is no pad in these pants so you'll need to wear your shorts or a liner.

Used these just a few times so far. Were absolutely perfect for the recent 45 and raining ride I had. Legs were warm and dry. Not sure about durability yet. would be nice if they had at least one pocket but not a huge deal. We shall see how warm they are when its 15 degrees and snowing here in Minnesnowda.

        Comments about Bellwether Windfront Tights:

Perfect for cold weather 48 degF and less. Too warm for anything above that. I believe they will be perfect for below freezing up to 0 degF and below that I will have to test. I have used them a couple times and love them so far. Very comfortable if you have skinny legs. I got the size L to get the waist in the 36" range and the tapered leg allows for it's extra inseam length to make them fit perfect in a wide range of inseam lengths.

        Comments about Bellwether Windfront Tights:

I bought a pair of these last fall as my wife and I really got back into cycling (after a 20-year gap) and was delighted with their comfort, performance, and style. But after a while I was shocked to realize that the front of the groin area was tearing apart — not on the seam, which my wife could simply have stitched back together again, but right NEXT to the seam: The actual fabric was tearing and fraying until it looked, frankly, like hair poking out. Yikes! I've never before had an article of clothing actually fall apart during what seemed to me to be normal usage. So I returned them, and the Nashbar folks were 100% pleasant about sending me another pair for free. Thank you! But now my second pair is starting to shred in the same spot, and I'm not sure what to do. Meanwhile, I've gradually noticed that the pants are so low-cut in the waist that they creep down my body, like a runaway sausage casing, and I have to keep hauling them upward in all kinds of weather. I'm even wondering if my hauling is part of the reason they're tearing. So in the end, this [$] pair of pants has turned out to cause me quite a lot of trouble. I live in Maine and bike up to about 100 miles a week, in season. But again, I want to emphasize that the Nashbar people have been great. We've bought plenty of other stuff from them and couldn't be happier.

        Comments about Bellwether Windfront Tights:

I am a bike club rider/commuter that rides through 35F winter temps. The looser fit is comfortable in the cold especially when one is off the bike when a stop or two is required. The extra room allows another layer underneath if needed.

Since I also ride at night I added extra patches of iron on reflectors at the leg cuff. This is my second pair of Bellweathers, the first is getting thin but still going after 12 years.

        Comments about Bellwether Windfront Tights:

These tights were much like Bellwether tights I have bought in the past, however the material used on the back side of the pants is much more slippery than past years, which cause you to side around on the seat more. they may wear in over time and a couple washings though, too early to tell. The only other downside (in my opinion) is there are no stirrups on the bottom of the legs to keep them down, easy diy fix going to sew in a piece of elastic. Other than that I have always been happy with Bellwether gear.

I had a pair of these for years and they were awesome but recently bought a pair and after only 1 month the crotch seam came apart. I guess they aren't made like they used to be. The pants are loose fitting too so it's not like they are too small.

Haven't had them long enough to attest to the durability, but they sure seem great so far. The legs are a bit short for the stated size, but that's good for me! They are comfortable and warm in cold, dry weather, which I expected, and in wet, rainy weather too, which I didn't expect. I would definitely buy these again.
