Continental Town & Country City Tire
Whether you're chasing down some bad dudes or just trying to get to work, the Continental Town & Country City tire is a proven, reliable tire that can handle pretty much anything you throw at it. This tire is one of the most popular police tires ever. It's tough, reliable and proven. Designed to handle everything from paved roads to rough gravel paths, this tire helps eliminate pinch flats, plenty of tread to keep you hooked into the ground, and low rolling resistance.
  • The Continental Town & Country MTB Tires are well known for their low rolling resistance on streets, yet off-road their unique negative tread design hooks up amazingly well

Comments about Continental Town & Country City Tire:

I put a set of these on my 1998 Cannondale 200SE about 8 years ago. They have over 1200 miles on them and are just now showing significant tread wear. I was shopping for a similar tire when I found the Town & Country is still manufactured, so I'll go with a proven winner with a new set. Never had a flat or any traction issues, except when crossing wet drainage ditches (expected performance under these conditions). This is a great substitute for knobby tires if you do much street riding on an ATB.

Comments about Continental Town & Country City Tire:

I love this tire. I've had these on a tandem for about 15 years. Don't be fooled by the smooth profile - these are fat enough that they handle very well on packed crushed rock or packed dirt.

Tire used in Mexico , hard pavement , dirt and off road daily . With full inflation not a soft ride , but performance negates this .

I have been using Town & Country tires for 15 years or more. I have had great success with the tire's durability and ground control. I really do not ride much in wet conditions. The dry condition performance is fantastic.

Comments about Continental Town & Country City Tire:

Great dual purpose tire, very comfortable and very low rolling resistance. I bought a set of these for my mountain bike that I ride mostly casually and around town. I liked them so well, I bought a second set for my police patrol bike. The major complaint is that they puncture very easily, so watch where you ride. it's really a five star product with a four star problem.

Comments about Continental Town & Country City Tire:

Kind of early to tell how they'll work out - it's kind of hard to review a tire when it's fresh on the bike, but I like what I see so far. They were kind of a pain in the butt to get them to seat perfectly on the bead of the rim. These aren't the first tires I've had this problem with. I'll give them some time to break in, but I've generally been pretty satisfied with Continental products.

Comments about Continental Town & Country City Tire:

Needed a tire with less rolling resistance to ride more pavement than dirt for an upcoming century. This was the tire. I have about 200 miles on them with no problems. Rolling resistance is less than even my Richey Beta Max. This IS the Korean made tire (not German) but quality has not been an issue in any way.

Comments about Continental Town & Country City Tire:

Replaced knobby tires on my wife's cruiser, as I had the Town & Country tires on my Trek. I would roll way ahead of her before, and she worked twice as hard as me. Now we roll together, and she noticed the difference right away. We are biking twice as far without a rest now. She doesn't complain of sore legs either. What a difference a quality tire makes!!! These are great for hard packed dirt and trails too.

I always have tires like this around for my mountain bike, for paved roads ,dirt roads, and on the beach! These work better on beach sand than knobbies, because they float rather than dig in!
