    Comments about Nashbar Front Rack:

Former bike messenger (ret.) Using rack for touring, just a place to bungie my sleeping bag. Easy install on my 700C Marin.
Brake stud replacement bolts were NOT longer than originals(to account for spacers), but seems to not be an issue. Fine for light duty.

        Comments about Nashbar Front Rack:

I use this front rack to hold my battery for the Motor that's in the front wheel. The motor came with too short a cable. The rack is just the right size for the battery. Only 3 screws to mount the rack. However, the screw on top that mounts the rack to the fork is a bigger diameter than the hole it is meant for. Nothing a drill can't fix. But bothersome if you don't have a drill. I have used the rack often since I bought it and I'm happy with it. Bottom line, think about that issue before buying the rack.

        Comments about Nashbar Front Rack:

I use this rack to hold the Battery for my e-bike. The Battery fits well on it. However, the bolt that fastens the rack to the top on the fork has a bigger diameter than the hole it is supposed to fit in. I had to drill the hole bigger to install the rack. Other than that, I have no complaints.

          Comments about Nashbar Front Rack:

Mounted on 700c fork with included hardware. Easy to mount to cantilever studs, but forming mounting bracket to not interfere with centerpull brakes was interesting. With NB lo-rider front rack, should provide ample front space and capacity for gear for any level of ride/tour. This rack is a great value and seems pretty sturdy.

I bought this so I could "ditch the backpack" on my daily commute. Its perfect for a small cooler, uniforms, etc.,or stabilizing a large handlebar bag. Easy to install, and the price is right. Perfect for light bulky loads.

              Comments about Nashbar Front Rack:

I really did not need this rack but I got it anyways. I have been using it lately to put a six pack on when I do a Packy Run, though I have thought of several other uses. I might secure a 50 Caliber Ammo can on it so I can place some tools etc in it, my gloves and lock it up so my stuff does not disappear. I commute with the bike I put this rack on (Motobecane Fantom Cross UNO)and it went on without any problems. There was ample hardware to get it on a number of makes and models of bicycles.

Sweet little rack. Not sure what I'm going to use it for, but I always wanted one and the price was right. Took a while to set up. my v brake became crooked and it took a while for me to figure it out. Came with perfect little spacers to clear the brakes. very light and no logos.

With a basket ziptied to it, it's down and out of the way. When carrying items lower, the bike handling improves. It makes a great place to store your helmet when your ride is over. It would be nice if this product was available with a basket

                  Comments about Nashbar Front Rack:

Practical. A little improvisation may be needed to figure out the best way to mount it on your bike. I've used it on occasion in conjunction with the Nashbar Front Bag and more typically as a general-purpose small cargo platform. It can support more than can a handlebar-attached basket.

Nashbar ought to consider marketing it as the "Nashbar Six Pack Rack", because that's exactly how big it is.

                  Comments about Nashbar Front Rack:

I put 2 custom long panniers on this thing for a 400k tour. The panniers had no more than 5 lbs at any time as I just used it for tools. The racks main bolt came out and I had to use a ziptie. By the end of the tour the supports were completely twisted and hitting my tire. Only good for very light usage, but what do you expect for the price.
