Smudge

    Comments about Nashbar No-Frame Sunglasses:

Although I haven't experienced higher end shades to compare these to, the other $25 or less shades that I've had in the past tended to fog less frequently and not catch as much sweat from my brows. The fogging is easy to correct as it tends to only happen when stopped and it quickly goes away once you start moving again. The sweat smudging however is beyond an annoyance and it compromises your vision when riding to the point where obstacles and potholes are hard to see; I often end up riding more than half of my ride with my shades off because the shades smudge so easily. These shades are durable as I've only broken 1 pair in several years.

For whatever reason, these seem to be the shades that I never lose, whereas all of my other ones I've lost thus making me extremely hesitant to want to spring for $25+ shades again. I'd like to try other shades but I'm just too scared I'll lose them in a month like I have with all my other non-nashbar shades.

    Comments about Nashbar No-Frame Sunglasses:

Broke at hinge after one ride, probably because they are REALLY narrow and incredibly low quality/cheap construction. Also, fog and make contact with eyebrows so sweat streams down the inside of the lens. Maybe this works for people with small heads, but for average size me, a total disaster.

I have had a few of these in the past and I have loved every pair. I wish they would bring back the yellow lenses too though - I love the look of the gold ones but I like the yellow for rain rides etc

Most sunglases under $30 wil eventually give me a headache. I have had at least a dozen pair of these and they have been flawless. I don't feel real bad after I have crushed a pair of them.

In my opinion and to those I've recommended these to, these are definitley an under the radar product. You have to be careful but if lost, broken or stolen @ this price you can't go wrong. I've been wearing these for years. PLEASE bring back the clear yellow lense version!

I have been using these for many years, and have several pairs. They never break, even after several years of daily use. I have lost a few pairs however, and they fog more easily than other glasses, probably because of the close fit.

              Comments about Nashbar No-Frame Sunglasses:

I got a pair of the clear ones for winter (ie in the dark) riding. Although they are cheap, I would not be tempted to buy another pair. Something is strange about the optics - it feels like you are looking through a bubble. Also, the lenses tend to rest on your eyebrows, which leads to smudging. As others have said, I feel the durability may not be that great as the lense above the nose bridge is stressed while taking on and off.
I have switched back to my interchangeable lense riding glasses and will only use these when I can't find those.

Cheap glasses. I bought a few pairs because the price was right. Just because of the no frames and how they fit, they seem to pick up a lot of sweat from my forehead even with a sweatband... Otherwise great!

                Comments about Nashbar No-Frame Sunglasses:

No frame/rim allows me to see better on my tri-bike. They aren't especially sturdy and probably won't fit a wide face, but fit snugly on my face. Gray lenses are fairly dark, but the low price allowed me to buy an extra clear pair for dark or rainy days.
