Comments about Nashbar Tire Fixer Bag:

Got this bag for my wife, she wanted something sizeable, for multitool, patch kit, spare, wallet, and phone. The size is fine, but on the first ride, the zippers (which were zipped to the back/middle) came undone, and her phone fell out. We didn't even realize it was open until miles later when I saw the multitool fly out. (Fortunately we eventually found the phone).

So if you use this, zip securely, keep the zippers at the sides where hopefully the pressure of the objects inside wont' force them apart, and maybe even use a twist-tie for good measure.

Comments about Nashbar Tire Fixer Bag:

Got this so I could run with just a hydration pack instead if a backpack. It's big enough for a tube,parktool,levers,co2,a couple of gels,2 bags of beans,a thin wallet, keys, and the little box of patch stickers that came with it. The only fault I found with it was that the double zippers separated and emptied my gear on the trail while downhilling. I suggest a ziptie or something to keep the zippers from working open. Tie the zipper handles together or you'll loose everything behind you. The Velcro on the seatpost could be a little shorter to hold it snug but it works.

Good Strap for a Great Price

Comments about Nashbar Tire Fixer Bag:

I've seen a few reviews that complained that the straps were too long/incorrectly placed on this seat bag. While the strap that connects to the seat post is too long, the strap that connects to the seat itself is fine. It took me about ten frustrating minutes to figure it out so hopefully this clears up some confusion. The side of the bag the strap is sewn to goes face up. The two straps then go through the closest bar (for lack of a better term; the two bars that hold the seat to the seat post). Next, the straps wrap around and meet at the bottom of the bag where the clip together. Hope this saves the next guy a few gray hairs. Good bag for a great price.

Using on both mountain and commuter bike, may also put one on my road bike. It is large enough for 29" tubes and a CO2 inflator and repair tool. The single top strap does not feel as secure as the two straps on an older seat bag on my road bike.

Mine holds tube, small pump, tire tools and a 5mm allen wrench. Great bag. Had to modify straps to pull it closer to seat.

Comments about Nashbar Tire Fixer Bag:

As was said in another review, the seat strap is too long, and it appears to have been sewn wrong. However, my seat post is just large enough that I was able to get it to work w/out any modification. It's not as tight as I'd like it to be, so I may modify it as some point if I get around to it. Other than that, great bag. Big enough for a multi-tool, phone, car keys (and it has a retaining clip for those) and probably a spare tube. Plus it comes w/tire levers and a patch kit, which goes for close to 5 bucks if you buy separately. So for another 4 bucks you get a nice bag. Zippers are secure, and I had no problem with the seat rails strap. It also has a smaller pocket on the underside that is good for your ID and some cash. All in all a great product, especially for the money. My only regret is that I only ordered one.

As others have said, the seat tube strap on this is just totally missized; it can't be used as is, and I'm surely not going to repair a new product. Shame, as the rest of it is just great.
