Comments about Nashbar Mountain Bike Handlebar:

I bought the bar to replace a steel bar that was slightly a riser bar. I ended up not using this bar because I came to like the riser option, however after a short internet search I found that it is difficult to find a 25.4 mm riser bar in alloy, which was what I hoped this bar would do. I won't use it as the bike I bought it for is substantially heavy to begin with and it won't matter much in the long run. I felt that this bar was a bit narrow, as well, but know that I will eventually use it in a flat bar road bike scenario, where it should excel.

I bought these as part of an upgrade to a very old mountain bike that I was rebuilding. These are just what I was looking for and they're cheap.

Comments about Nashbar Mountain Bike Handlebar:

I have a really nice '88 Peugeot "Canyon Express" Mountain bike (Salmon color) used mainly for daily 25-35 mile rides on the Phoenix canal system. The bike weighs 27.4 lbs (Tange 1 tubes). The only heavier-than-necessary part was the cro-mo handlebar that weighed just shy of 2.0 lbs. The Nashbar bar reduced the front end weight significantly. You can feel the front end is livelier and steers with less effort. Exceptionally good upgrade and price. THANKS AGAIN Nashbar.

Comments about Nashbar Mountain Bike Handlebar:

My Trek 7.2FX came with a slight riser bar and I wanted something perfectly flat so I replaced it with this one; for the price you're not gonna do better anywhere. It amazes me that people pay $50 - $100+ for a piece of aluminum tubing with a bump in the middle...this one is light and strong, what exactly else should a handlebar be?? (assuming you're not considering carbon, which is a whole different story) Great standard shipping, got mine in 2 days.
