Comments about Nashbar Pro Carbon Water Bottle Cage:

It seems to work OK even though it doesn't grip the bottle real tightly. I use smaller bottles and don't fill them completely. I would be concerned with a taller filled bottle. However, this is perfect for racing where I never need more than one bottle.

Loved these until the tab that holds the bottle in place broke...unless your ride is on smooth surfaces, I wouldn't recommend this. Will send a pic to Nashbar and see what they have to say.

Comments about Nashbar Pro Carbon Water Bottle Cage:

I really liked these cages until the bottom tab broke off. They look great and work nicely. I thought previous comments about the weak bottom tab breaking were probably due to rough use. I have used them carefully with 20 oz. bottles for less than 2 years and one broke as I was riding. The tabs are just not strong enough to last much more than a season.

Comments about Nashbar Pro Carbon Water Bottle Cage:

bought instead of paying $$ for a name brand. they aren't that much less $ so not worh it since have to buy 2 more cages. these 2 lasted me less than one season before each showed weakness in holding bottles, several fell out whil crossing tracks or simply hammering on a long road. really?
just buy the name brand and take care of it!

Comments about Nashbar Pro Carbon Water Bottle Cage:

Replacement for same model that broke after a couple years of hard use. The silver carbon matches the gray highlights on my carbon bike, and the 3D carbon pattern looks cool. The silver is actually a medium gray in tone. I have to question weather the silver version is actually carbon, as carbon is, by nature, black. Likely a resin made to look like carbon. Bottom tab that stops the bottle from dropping through will break eventually after repeated slams, but held up better than most. You can get a much less expensive cage for the money that will work equally well. I just got it for the looks, though it is perfectly functional as well. Holds bottle securely. Buy it on sale.
