Comments about Nashbar Prima 2 Plus Road Tire:

I use these puppies for commuting, recreation and general purpose riding. It is most important to me to have a reliable tire. I ride through lots of road debris on back rd and main streets. A flat could cause tardiness a work. Thus, I choose this kevlar type tire for it's flat protection. Purchased recently, so, I only have about fifty miles under my belt. I switched from a no longer made set of well worn Panaracer GrandTour kevlar tires. So far, they roll well(fast), have adequete traction, high pressure and NO flats. Some comfort is sacrificed for speed and kevlar based high pressure construction. But, a supple ride is worth it when you have the need for speed. The only down side at this moment is, no 700x28 for my other bike(hybrid).

Comments about Nashbar Prima 2 Plus Road Tire:

I always buy Prima 2+ tires. At these prices they are hands down the best value. I can always count on at least 1500 miles on them so I go through 2-3 sets a year. At this price, that's a great value rather than spending 30-50 a tire on more expensive brands. They grip the road very well, and I've never had a problem or defect with them. I would buy in bulk if there was a discount...

Comments about Nashbar Prima 2 Plus Road Tire:

I ride 20 to 27 miles a day depending on the roads I take. I run the 700-25 on my carbon and steel bike, 700/28 on my cross bike and 700/28 with double thickness tubes on my touring bike. I ride with the front riders on club rides. They worry about grams of weight, they have flats, I don't.

Comments about Nashbar Prima 2 Plus Road Tire:

I got the 25mm size for comfort and my weight. I ride most days and do a fair amount of climbing.
This is not a super light weight high performance tire. It is something I can rely on to be reliable day after day. More expensive tires have had sidewalls blow out on me and crack before they wear out. I like these tires!

Comments about Nashbar Prima 2 Plus Road Tire:

My new carbon road bike came with stock 700x23c tires, the roads I have been riding on out towards my residence are a lot of oil and chip. I kept experiencing pinch flats, and blowouts with the stock tires. I am also a heavier rider, 601 and 225lbs, therefore I thought I would try out a 700x25c tire to see if that makes a difference therefore I ordered these tires. At first I thought the bike seemed slower but then after looking at the ride data on cyclo computer that was not the case. It was actually the ride that was different, the ride was actually a lot better. The tires roll great and so far so good with no flats. For the price you can't beat these tires, I will order more when the time comes....

I have been using this tire exclusively for about ten years. I ride about 9000 miles a year. club rides, long distance touring and training.I pump them to 120 and just laugh at the club riders fixing flats on their $60 tires.

I was looking for a solid flat-resistant tire; Kevlar belted tires at this price seemed tough to beat. I've had one of these for a couple of months now and put maybe a few hundred miles on it. In that time puncture flats have continued to be a problem, and now a section of the sidewall has essentially disintegrated, rendering the tire useless. Would not recommend.
