Comments about Nashbar Rodeo Mountain Pedals:

It's nice to be able to clip in when you want, but still be able to go for a quick spin in sneakers as the case may be. They can be a bit stiff getting in and out of right out of the box, but they smooth out with a little use. I've owned several sets of these. They are decent quality pedals for everyday use.

Comments about Nashbar Rodeo Mountain Pedals:

Great everyday pedal for commuting and rec/club rides. These are a really nice value for their versatility and performance. These are not made for racing or anyone who is a gram counter, but for your everyday workhorse bike, you can't find a better mix of versatility and price. Highly recommended!

Comments about Nashbar Rodeo Mountain Pedals:

Bought two sets and bearing cones were grinding. I sent the worst back and kept one set. One pedal was okay and the other had a bit of grinding. I couldn't figure out how to get the dust cover (a faceless plastic plug) off to adjust the cones and took it to a lbs. They said return them to Nashbar and they speculated the bearings were probably low quality. Contacted Nashbar and they said the pedals aren't designed to be opened and recommended returning them as there's a lifetime customer satisfaction policy on them. I'm hesitant now to get another Nashbar pedal not trusting the cone settings coming out of production, quality of the bearings, how much grease is used and not being able to overhaul them or having to replace them when a bearing fractures.

I wore the pedals out on my spin bike trainer. These Nashbar pedals were good replacements. I can clip in for intense workouts or just use the flats for casual spinning.

We got this for an indoor spin bike that came with caged pedals. We prefer to ride with clips to get the full stroke. These pedals did the job and were very reasonably priced.

Comments about Nashbar Rodeo Mountain Pedals:

I might end up going with platforms and egg beaters, just because I love how small the egg beaters are - but for now, they work great (I just use the platforms) and I'm able to clip in and try that out every once in a while.

The first of these I purchased replaced the platform pedals I have been using on my commuter. Within a week of using them, I ordered a second pair for my trail bike.

Visualizing the position of the cleat in relation to the clip on the pedal was helpful. Now I am delighted at how quickly my feet have adapted and the click, crunch cycle of entry seems automatic!

Comments about Nashbar Rodeo Mountain Pedals:

They're a good solid pedal. I had to replace my stock pedals and these are superior. They are heavy but I use my bike for short commutes and mountain/trail biking. I like the grip with just regular tennis shoes, it works great. You also have the clip side though for when you want to get serious. I like them. They seem really durable.
