Comments about Nashbar Trekking Mountain Bike Handlebar:

Installed these on my Surley LHT. Had these on my Novara Randonee also. Mine are double wrapped for comfort. They are much more comfortable and versatile than drop bars. Try them once, and you'll stop making fun of them...

      • Upgrade

Comments about Nashbar Trekking Mountain Bike Handlebar:

I didn't realize that I needed a 31.8mm clamp to fit my stem. I was guided to a source for shims but decided that I wanted a heavier bar for touring. This bar is very light and seems somewhat spindly but it was nicely finished. Seems 24mm clamp bars are common in N. A. although my bike is an American made bike.

Comments about Nashbar Trekking Mountain Bike Handlebar:

Purchased these for a touring bike build-up. Like the price, shape and versatility, but the tubing is a little on the thin side and doesn't feel very substancial even with bar tape. Only other gripe is the "grip section" is inadequate to accomodate grips, brake levers and shift levers before the bar curves. Finsh is good and the bar functions fine.

Comments about Nashbar Trekking Mountain Bike Handlebar:

Got these to replace flat handlebars on a hybrid. Turning the bike into a multiple day touring ride to do 2 to 3 day rides. These give several extra ways to place your hands. Only low point is that I would like the bars slightly wider.

Comments about Nashbar Trekking Mountain Bike Handlebar:

I added these bars to an 1990 Trek MB which I use for exercise. I also put aero bars on the setup. This setup gives me a comfortable riding position on my 15 mile morning ride. Moving between the aero bars for cruising and the trekking bars for shifting and braking is easy and quick. I have eliminated the hand numbness that I got with ordinary MB bars.

The setup might look a little strange, however I find it comfortable.

I put these bars on a folding travel bike for touring. Love the variety of hand postions. Immediately felt much more comfortable than the previous flat bars.

My first set of trekking bars. They are exactly what I hoped . I'm a heavy guy and they are strong, no flexing. Looked at other brands but these are perfect. Hands placement is limitless. Nasbar has a great price too. Wayne

Comments about Nashbar Trekking Mountain Bike Handlebar:

I wanted to alter my sturdy steed to a fully loaded touring bike. Flat bars numbed my hands in an hour or so. With these bars i can put in hours and hours with no problem. While grinding up hills i switch to the top-sides and find it very comfortable. I did add a little extra padding before tapeing though. They are lightweight and offer lots of versatlity. They are skinny though so you may have to add a bit of tape to add extras like lights etc.
