Comments about Polar Insulated 20oz Water Bottle - Pattern:

This is an adequate water bottle but not a standout. I found that it keeps my drink cold the longest if I fill it up to 2/3 with ice and then add my drink. Perhaps all water bottles are efficient if they are filled this way? The first time out I only filled it 1/4 with ice and the rest with cool water from my fridge, and after an hour I had barely cool water. The air temp was barely 80^ and yes I expected more from a dedicated cycling water bottle. Two things I am really happy about is the wide mouth so I can fill it with ice and the lack of taste influence the bottle has on my drink. While I recommend it I can't say I'm thrilled as I am with my other cycling products I purchased from Nashbar.

Comments about Polar Insulated 20oz Water Bottle - Pattern:

Once you enjoy ice cold water an hour or two into a ride, you realize why it was always so hard to stay hydrated with the un-insulated bottles. This is the only bottle I'll carry any more, at least in warm or hot weather. On Mt. bike rides and when dirtbike motorcycle riding, I still use my trusty Camelback, but on road bicycle rides these things are THE BEST.

Comments about Polar Insulated 20oz Water Bottle - Pattern:

I bought this from Nashbar along with Polar's 24oz insulated version to have two bottles for my frame. The goal is to have warm liquids stay warm on cold rides, but I haven't had a cold day opportunity yet to try this, so I'm only going to give it 4 stars. I have noticed cold liquids stay colder for longer. The bottle is almost as big as a non-insulated 24oz bottle, so keep that in mind when ordering. So far it's very durable, easy to wash, and doesn't retain odors. To me, it squeezes like a regular non-insulated bottle.

Comments about Polar Insulated 20oz Water Bottle - Pattern:

I own two of these bottles and have used them for 10 rides. They keep water cool for at least two hours without freezing beforehand. After freezing them and in cooler weather, it took "forever" for the ice to melt.

Wide mouth accepts ice cube easily. It keeps water cool for hours. I haven't frozen water in it. See no reason.

Sure, it doesn't insulate from the heat as well as plastic wrapped aluminum bottles, but I need to squeeze it for fast delivery so those were out of the question! I love the quick strap for grabbing, too. Plus! Super simple to disassemble and clean.
