Comments about Sram Pg-730 7 Speed Cassette:

Bought a gt palomar mountain bike and upgraded the wheels with the nashbar viuelta zero-lites ,the originals had a freewheel. Please note that when installing on a 8,9,10 cassette body that you will need a spacer or two , I always use old cogs off old cassettes or you can buy a spacer I think it's a 4.5 mm? I think that's what the gentleman in the other review was having a problem with , nice cheap cassette if you want to stick with 7 speed stuff.

Comments about Sram Pg-730 7 Speed Cassette:

Bought to use on shimano 7 speed but could not figure out how to make it work. The inside of the lock ring is smaller than the freewheel removal tool for the shimano and different than the original. Others have a complete cassette/freewheel available for this application at reasonable cost.

Comments about Sram Pg-730 7 Speed Cassette:

This was the only 7 speed cassette I could find. It is very inexpensive and seems to work just fine. Installation was easy. My 15 year old cromoly mountain bike is running again. A slight adjustment at the tumbler right on the shifter and it works perfect. I made that adjustment while I was riding. I'm not sure how long it will last, but for [$] I expect to get my money's worth.

Comments about Sram Pg-730 7 Speed Cassette:

Wow. My early 90's 14 speed vintage Trek rides like a new bike. Really notice the increased range on the hills; two lower gears and one higher gear without expensive or complicated upgrades. Best bang for the buck.

Great upgrade from original 12-28 Shimano. Adds 26
& 32 tooth takes away 24 & 28. More usable ratios & overall better gear changes.

An excellent upgrade from an old worn Shimano 105. Durable, smooth shifting, and smooth running. I've used these with both road an MTB drivetrains with great results. A much better value than the Nashbar part, which I also have.
