Comments about Continental Sport Contact City-Road Tire:

700x37 seemed really wide. Ordered two. One mounted without an issue. 2nd was impossible and after finger blisters and 4(!) wasted tubes I gave up. Did test by swapping them and same issue with that one tire which was clearly different. Returned both and ordered Nashbar's streetwise 700x35 -- and I am a happy man!

Size Mis-marked: 32 wide is actually 28 wide.

Comments about Continental Sport Contact City-Road Tire:

I'd recommend this to a friend as a great fairly racy tire at its price, but ONLY rider the 32 if they need a 28 wide. The 32 came marked 800 x 1 1/4 x 1 3/4 (I assume this is nominal diameter, width, and height respectively. However, the "32" measured 28.5mm wide while inflated on a 23mm wide rim - so an extra narrow rim was no factor. It also had the height profile of a 28, not a 32. While it's not uncommon for tires to be a bit under or over-sized, this one was clearly built mislabeled. Perhaps that's why the price is so low for a well made tire.

I'd consider ordering the "37 wide", but have no idea of the actual measurement.

Comments about Continental Sport Contact City-Road Tire:

These tires replaced the stock 24mm, inexpensive slicks which came with my low-medium grade fixed wheel road bike. I have ridden fixed as my preferred setup for years, but an unexpected move to the South Carolina countryside meant about 30-37% of my commute is now on the shoulders in conditions ranging from a bit of hardpack to loose, sandy soil. Other parts are on the edges of divided highways and even some sidewalk.

These tires do it all for me, and with heavy tubes, I've had no flats from thistle burrs or road hazards.

And they are wonderfully smooth riding.

I have had good experience w/ Conti brand tires. Use these for my commuter bike. found them easy to mount, thicker than Conti ultra sport on tread thickness, they roll fast. So far no flats riding over road debris daily. High marks all around.

Good tyres for reduced rolling resistance. Put them on my mountain bike for taking part in a road tour and it made a big difference.

I put these tires to my mountain bike. I could really see the difference when riding on the streets. The speed is significant compared to the tires my mountain bike used to have. I really recommend them, they are great!

Put the 26" on my commuter mountain bike and run them at 65-80 lbs. Between side walks and parking lots i have to ride thru grass and dirt trails, i have to be careful in those areas, these tires are for street use. I have to be careful in some wet areas but they are fine on wet streets. The reflective sidewall is great. They are fast!
