    Comments about Nashbar Bullbar Handlebar:

Great fit on my Trek Earl. Hand positioning while mashing up hills is comfortable and stable, as is in the saddle for those long straight-a-ways. I have put roughly 150 miles so far on these bars so far. I commute to and from work every day, round trip 8 miles. I have not experienced any bend in the bars, downhill or uphill. Might just get these bars for a friend, as well!

Makes a awesome addition to my vintage bike and looks great too. It's getting harder and harder to find handelbars the right size to fit a vintage quill stem without visiting the online acution sites.

These worked out perfect for my lastest restore of a vintage steel road bike. Very comfortable and do not find it flexes at all as mentioned by others.

Use my second road bike as a city bike. These bars replaced straight bars I had been using in the city. I appreciate the variety of hand positions over straight bars. Great for standing while climbing hills. Also very lightweight.

Nice bar, needs a wider version than 42

            Comments about Nashbar Bullbar Handlebar:

This is a nice bar at a good price, I weighed mine and the 26.0/42cm version came out at 202 grams. The bar is lightweight and about 100 grams less than a cheap set of drop bars. The bar is also nicely finished and smooth and isn't just a rough raw extrusion. The hand postion of the bars puts less pressure on your ulnar nerves in your palms, so the bar is more comfortable than some positions on a drop bar or on a straight MTB bar, your hands don't go numb with this bar. The bar is also good for a more stretched out riding position if you have a bike with a short top tube or stem. The only thing I don't like about it is at 6'3" this bar feels too narrow to me, even with the 42cm width. I feel constricted because of the width, and a wider bar would mean more leverage to climb hills easier when standing up.

I have two sets of the old Scott AT-3 mountainbike bars from the 1990's on both my MTB and my road/hybrid bike that are 23" wide, these Nashbar bullhorns are 17". If Nashbar was smart they would make a set of these bullhorn type of bars in a wider with for hybrid and MTB use. They'd be lighter than either a straight carbon bar or aluminum MTB bar with bar ends added on, and you'd get the benefits of the bar end type of climbing position without the added weight. Scott used to make an AT-2 handlebar that was similar to a bullbar for MTB use, but they discontinued them a long time ago, Nashbar should make something similar to that design.

I was looking for the perfect bullhorn bar to add to my commuting bike. This did the trick. The "horns" are the perfect length and angle.

            Comments about Nashbar Bullbar Handlebar:

This thing was perfect for replacing my typical road bike drop handle bar. It is light weight and great on your pocket book. The only downside I have to point out is that it flexes under heavy load. I have a 500 feet climb at the end of my commute so each day I have to climb this monster hill along w/ a bunch of other climbs. Riders in NYC going over the GWB will know what I'm talking about. Anyways, this thing flexes as I pull on it during my more exuberant climbs. Otherwise, I love it! :-)

I have a 1987 Fuju flair I'm working on. I didnt think the 26mm bars would fit through my 25mm quill neck. I installed them today and I'm suprised just how nice these are for the price. They even worked on my older project bike.

I replaced my standard road bike handle bars on my single speed with these and I love them. They are simple and comfortable. Further more, I installed the track bike brakes levers on them and the coupling of these 2 products is perfect for me. I'll definitely do this configuration on my next commuter bike.
