Comments about Nashbar Waterville Shoe Covers:

I used these once in the cold rain (about 40 degrees). The left boot went on easily over my shoes but the right one was very hard to get on. They did a nice job of keeping my feet dry and warm on my 8 mile commute. But when I removed them, I found the heel on the right boot had torn. Upon further inspection, I found the right heel was sown far to narrow to go over any shoe heel. The left one was much wider. I suggest Nashbar require better quality control. I'm returning them with request for XL size even though I only wear US size 9 shoe. I also suggest, if you buy, you inspect them on the bottom to verify heel and toe are cut the same on both feet.

If they are made right, they should provide good service.

Comments about Nashbar Waterville Shoe Covers:

The design of the covers is not well thought out. I pulled out some stitching on the back the first time I tried putting it on my MTN bike shoe. Based on other reviews, I got the largest size and that was barely big enough. I have wide feet/shoes and these are really meant for narrow road shoes.
I am a commuter with a 30 round trip and am pretty much done for the year up here. So, I cannot speak to how well they keep my feet warm or dry. But, I will be testing them out next spring.
I got them on sale and free shipping, so for what I paid, if I get a season or 2 out of them, that will be fine.

Comments about Nashbar Waterville Shoe Covers:

The product is okay, but during moderate to heavy rain... It wont keep the water out...

While putting them on time after time, the durability of the fabric seems to weaken faster than it should be...

Comments about Nashbar Waterville Shoe Covers:

Tried twice. The "large" or the "Xlarge" would not fit my Shimano Click'R CT45 shoes, which are light wt tour style shoes. My size 43 was well within size chart and should have fit into the these "covers"...but not even close. The width of the shoe was too much even for the XL cover, and it even showed signs of nearing splitting with the attempt.

Comments about Nashbar Waterville Shoe Covers:

I ordered the L size, which is what the website said was appropriate for my shoe size (US 11 = European 45). I could not get them over either pair of my cycling shoes. I tugged so hard trying that I was afraid I would tear the fabric. I have sent them back, with a request for the XL size. That added to the expense, and I haven't yet received the replacements (almost 2 weeks later).

these are ok,but 20 years ago Nashbar made a better cover with thicker neoprene, and more complete bottom
that I owned 2 pairs of and commuted with 40 minutes each way and they kept my feet warm ALL winter in Illinois;it is only November and my feet are getting very cold already;also I preferred the zipper to the velcro-these companies are going to cheaper design/materials.phooey

I bought a size large to use over my 43/44 Nashbar Ragster II shoes but these do not even begin to fit. The description says they will fit a 43-45.5 shoe but they don't. Definitely order a size up! Also, try them on right away... I bought them in the summer for use in the winter and forgot to try them right away and am stuck w/ them...My bad, but the product description is also bad.

I ordered the XL size, which is listed as 46+. I wear a US size 12 which is the same as a EUR size 46-47. The covers didn't even come close to fitting over my shoes. They appear to be decently made for the price but I was unable to test them out.

Nashbar: please make an XXL size!
