Comments about Nashbar Woodsville Baggy Shorts:

I wear these shorts for commuting to work. They are very comfortable. I especially like the padding in the crotch, which protect the old family jewels. These shorts are good for commuting and casual riding, not so much for serious road biking. 4 Stars!

Comments about Nashbar Woodsville Baggy Shorts:

I read the comments before ordering my first pair of these shorts...indeed a number of criticisms are valid. Tough velcro and deep pockets. Having said that, I recently ordered my second pair. They are very comfortable and a very good value. I would order in multiple colors if available. As an older rider (66) I don't often wear cycling shorts without nylon shorts on top....just a comfort level I prefer. I tend to ride 3 times a week, 15-30 mile rides. These shorts fit the bill and I'm very pleased with them.

Comments about Nashbar Woodsville Baggy Shorts:

i'm a pure mountain biker and i like shorts that are light with big pockets. i find the pockets useful for maps or when i need it. the inner pad is wide enough for comfort, but narrow enough not to get in your way. in my opinion i need to ride with these a couple of more times to break them in to my body.

These are great long lasting shorts and still look good after 100 washes. Will order another pair when mine wear out

Comments about Nashbar Woodsville Baggy Shorts:

The grippers on the legs are way too tight. It felt like it might cut off circulation. Unless you have thin thighs, look somewhere else for shorts. The pockets were quite deep which is OK to me. I didn't like the Velcro closure on the pockets. It made it hard to get anything out and there's no need for Velcro with pockets so deep.

Comments about Nashbar Woodsville Baggy Shorts:

The shorts themselves are pretty darn good. The chamois is certainly sufficient, the grippers on the inner shorts do a good job keeping them from slipping up my legs when I ride. However, the pockets are way too deep (at least for me). If I put my phone or wallet in them, it ends up being caught in the back of my knee on pedal upstrokes. This is rather annoying, and has led me to not use the pockets. Also, would have been nice if the inner shorts were detachable for use with other shorts.

Overall, pretty good for the price.

Comments about Nashbar Woodsville Baggy Shorts:

Wear these for my daily ride of 10 - 15 miles on a mountain bike on streets and bike paths. They are a bit too long for me, and the main pockets are at the bottom of the leg - close to my knees. When I put my wallet in one it bounces & bangs around around as I peddle. Really needs a rear hip pocket to hold a wallet, but it has none there.
Otherwise - well made, fit well and heavily padded.

Comments about Nashbar Woodsville Baggy Shorts:

These shorts haven't even lasted me one year. Within the first month the spandex on the inside had a big tear in it. The next month the same tear on the other side.

Eventually the back side started getting tears. Since I had a big tear on the back and the spandex was torn inside, I'm pretty sure people could see my butt.

I ride 26 miles per day for commuting. So, I'm not terribly hard on them.

I purchased these for someone who usually spends about $100 on a pair of this type of short. He rides usually 30 miles a few times a week and he is very pleased with these. He said he would definitely get another pair.

I wear zoic and cannodale shorts but thought I would try these. Built from solid materials and well sewn. the pockets are put on in a novel and practical way albeit some what unusual. The cotch pad was a disappointment. Not cushed enough not form enough. You know it when you have been riding in these for an hour.
