Comments about Topeak Survival Tool Wedge II:

Was hard to tell from the pictures, but did look a larger then the actual product. However, I took the tools out and now with two compartments, fits all the essentials. Great clip system as well.

Comments about Topeak Survival Tool Wedge II:

I've been riding with this pack year-round for years, switching it between bikes for each season. The seatpost leash has finally snapped off, but that was a fairly eassy fix. I'm now ordering a second just so I don't have to keep switching the saddlemount all the time!

Comments about Topeak Survival Tool Wedge II:

I love Topeak Tool bags, but this one won't fit most road bike saddles due to the narrow seat rail attachment. It requires moving the saddle all the way back on a straight post, possibly ruining your position. It needs the extra Topeak F11 wedge pack fixer to attach it to the wide ends of the saddle rails (Nashbar doesn't sell it), and maybe even a new seat post with a rear extension, especially for a women's saddle. Get the fixer and/or a new seat post, then you and it may fit.

Comments about Topeak Survival Tool Wedge II:

Bought this after riding around the last 6 months holding my breath and hoping for the best. First and foremost, having the tool kit close at hand is a weight off my mind. I really like the foam shelf that everything fits in. There's no rattle or shifting, in fact, I generally forget that it's even there.

Topeak has done a great job here. The material construction is top notch. The whole thing is very rugged. It's got nice reflective features all around and a handy place to clip my rear light. I was happily surprised to find a little rain shield for it as well, though I generally forget to use it.

The compartment is more than large enough for my purpose. I usually just have a spare tube crammed in there, though there's still more room for my phone, some cash, and even an energy bar or one of those tiny pumps.

All the tools look adequate, not something I'd want to be stuck using on home repairs, but certainly great for the road.

I like the clip mechanism (it was actually a feature I was quite adamant about when searching for a bag). Though, I have to say that the mounting bracket doesn't quite fit perfectly to my saddle. The bars under the seat that this attaches to on my saddle are ever so slightly too far apart, and at first I wasn't sure I'd be able to get it on at all. But, eventually I was able to make it work and it seems as secure as it needs to be.

All in all I really like this little pack. It was smaller than I expected it to be but it's still plenty big enough (even has an expandable zipper should you need some more room). Does exactly what it should and seems to do it very well indeed.
