Comments about Shimano M162 Mountain Shoes:

These shoes being more performance oriented are stiffer than my previous mountain bike shoe so I have gotten better performance out of these. I was pleasantly surprised for the performance I did not loose much in off bike comfort.

Comments about Shimano M162 Mountain Shoes:

after I mounted the cleats from my bikestore, found they fit like a well worn glove immediately. the sizing chart was accurate!
I don't think the shoe's rachet release will be easy to do when I wear gloves or have cold fingers, but I wont release the shoes till im done riding anyway, so who cares.

Comments about Shimano M162 Mountain Shoes:

I've been wearing Shimano shoes of this or related line for about 20 yrs, and I've always been happy with them. For the money they are nicely constructed, hold up well, and are comfortable. I primarily ride road bikes and have a few different shoes. I bought these as a replacement to a very old pair of the same line for occasional mountain biking and spin classes. The shoe bottom is not overly aggressive. They easy to walk in without slipping or destroying floors. I find them to be a bit heavy so may not be good choice for racing.

Comments about Shimano M162 Mountain Shoes:

Really like the shoes.Within a 2 weeks of receiving them, did 112 miles, no problems. I have a very narrow foot, can struggle to find shoes that don't feel sloppy. I did add a set of gel insoles after the long ride, have about 50 miles with them in. Everything seems fine. Very comfortable on and off the bike.
