Comments about Nashbar 9/10-Speed Road Rear Derailleur:

During a year-long rebuild/restoration of three bikes, I accumulated multiple drive trains and dozens of component options to set the units to the style of the rides. This derailleur is versatile. With only minor limit adjustment, it works for 6,7, and 8 speed clusters, including the Maillard Helicomatic on a Peugeot. It is superb in operation and appearance, as well as ease of adjustment. 2,000 miles so far without an issue, just praise.

Comments about Nashbar 9/10-Speed Road Rear Derailleur:

I got 10 speed levers and I'm upgrading derailleur and cassette on my new Vuelta rims from Sora drivetrain. Since the rims are black I'm going with all black. I will carbon fibre sticker over the derailleur name since I really wanted Italian components to match the rims and Victoria tires. I suspect these components will work fine. The shifters feel vague compared to my Sora but I can live with that and hope the drivetrain upgrade changes that feel. I mounted the brake shifters on a Chinelli handlebar with vintage 3T adjustable stem. Since the frame is big.

      Good Derailleur for the cost

Comments about Nashbar 9/10-Speed Road Rear Derailleur:

This Derailleur works well for an inexpensive alternative to the higher end models. I have put about 2500 miles on the derailleur with very few problems. Occasionally it take a moment to shift gears after I throw the gear but not more than two seconds. In between the 3rd and 4th gear it sometimes is jumpy and won't react the way I want it to (I have it set to a 9 speed cassette). However this hasn't been a huge problem for me at all and is only an occasional annoyance.
Overall this product has served me well and I would recommend it. Many of the problems I have had would be fixable if it got it tuned in a shop as opposed to doing everything myself.
