Comments about Nashbar Mountain Lock-On Grips:

These handlebar grips are well worth the money as a solid, all-around non-slip grip. I cut off 1" to accommodate bar ends, and even with just one screw they locked fine.

Comments about Nashbar Mountain Lock-On Grips:

These grips are great. They are almost sticky to touch and they really grip my gloves well as well as bare hands although I would not recommend using them with out gloves for a long ride because they do not provide any padding, but that is fine because I wear gloves. Overall, they are a great grip and the locking feature is really worth it the grips that these replaced did not lock and were a nightmare.

Comments about Nashbar Mountain Lock-On Grips:

I ride a single speed 29er in the city and I stand up and ride and put a lot of pressure on the bars and grips. I struggled with regular grips and tried the hairspray trick which didnt hold. These lock-on grips are perfect and are lightweight. There are two allen screws on each end which hold the grips on very tightly.

Good so far. Simple easy to install and functional. Would prefer my grips to be a bit more plush these are a little rigid but good for the price. Beats trying to get the traditional grips on and off.

Comments about Nashbar Mountain Lock-On Grips:

I just plain dislike friction fit grips after having to change so many as a bike mech. These went on like a charm, will stay in place, and look "finished" with the wider supplied bar ends. The padding is sparse so padded gloved might be needed. I have not had an oppertunity to test the grips durability.

Comments about Nashbar Mountain Lock-On Grips:

A solid set of grips. They seriously lock on to your bar and your hands definitely lock on to the grips. No slip anywhere. Just what I wanted.

Not much padding, but if you're wearing gloves, they're perfect. They're totally usable without gloves, but if comfort is your main want, I'd look elsewhere. These are for grippin'

Comments about Nashbar Mountain Lock-On Grips:

Looks like it was made in a Taiwanese watch factory, not where bike components are made. Fits standard-diameter mountain bike handlebars (7/8"). 5-3/8" length. Held in place by two Allen-head bolts on either end. Rubber handlebar plugs complete the installation.
These grips will not budge! Which was a really big problem with the grips that came with my bike.
Some may not like the rather hard exterior, but I don't care because I wear gloves.

Comments about Nashbar Mountain Lock-On Grips:

This grip is outstanding. The only bad feature is the padding. The diamond stud-like padding is not very comfortable. But this texture is perfect for holding on tightly. Hands will not slip off. Overall a great buy and it is priced nicely. I recommend this item to all fellow moutain bikers.
