Comments about Time iClic 2 Road Pedals:

Purchased to replace ultra light wieght single sided SPD. Loved the Iclicks at first, easy step in without looking, plus smooth bearings. However the pins at the rear of the body worked themselves loose, casuing the pedal to fail long before it should. Mine lasted about 20 months and only 3K miles. I just put my old magnesium and titanium SPDs back on, they have well over 15k on them and still going strong.

I thought pedals were great - on the first ride. They totally fell apart on my third ride with them. The backs of the pedals fell off, and I had to ride home with broken pedals! Disappointing buy.

Comments about Time iClic 2 Road Pedals:

I knew I would need to replace the pedals on my road bike soon, so I had done some research prior to buying. "What is the best pedal for road racing?" The Time iClic came to the surface of the information received. When my right foot came loose from my old pedals at 20 mph one night, it was time to change.
There are no adjustments except for positioning the cleats on your shoes. You don't have to fiddle with anything else. No greasy lubricant is required either. You install them, click in and ride, period! They feel very stable.

Comments about Time iClic 2 Road Pedals:

Bought a pair of these for my main machine to replace my bulletproof Looks. [i don't know why] Even though i found the click-in learning curve excessively long, decided to standardize my other two road bikes with these to keep things simple. One pedal broke on an uphill climb and another has a slightly bent axle out of the box. Nashville was excellent in replacing but if I could "turn back Time", I'd Look elswhere.

Have just 200 miles on my Iclic's 2, but so far they are the best clip-less pedals I've used these past 15 years Easy in and out, lite weight, and appears quite durable. Give me 500 hundred more miles and then i'll be able to be more informed. I would recommend these to a friend. Knowing how great these peddles are I would opted for the next grade up.

Comments about Time iClic 2 Road Pedals:

I just got my third set of these pedals. I have ridden on the iclic2 "racer" version that is red on my two road bikes and just got these standard versions for my tt bike. I've got about 8000 miles combined on my two old sets, and have had no problems with them. I've used the same shoes an cleats the whole time and the cleats show little wear. Occasional clip in misfires happen but it's very obvious by feel when it happens as opposed to the spd pedals I used to ride where a faulty clip in was not always as obvious. They are lighter than a lot of other pedals, and width adjustment worked well for me. The nashbar price is far less than other retailers but even at higher cost these pedals have been a great value.

Comments about Time iClic 2 Road Pedals:

I've used Time Impact pedals and enjoy Time pedals after using Speedplay and SPDs. I find that Time's Impact pedals did not leave any hotspots, which the Speedplays and SPDs suffer from.

While the iClic 2's are light and engage easily, the hold does not feel as secure as the Impact pedals. I also had a similar experience to a previous reviewer where the pin under the "T" broke on my primary pedal (one that doesn't click in/out frequently). This is surprising and unsettling as the pedal semi-holds, but it's very wobbly and loose, and I'm afraid of an accidental unclip.

I'll be switching to Impact's/RXS's for now.
