Nashbar Thermal Knee Warmers
Fall and spring are a fine line for riding weather, my friend. It's almost impossible to know how to dress for a day that starts cool, gets hot, then gets cold again. Nashbar Thermal Knee Warmers take some of the guess work out of it though. They help protect your knees from the cold and damp without covering your entire leg, so you don't turn into a huge, sweaty mess after the third pedal stroke.
  • Warm fleece backing wicks away moisture and helps retain heat in cold weather
  • Stretchy lycra construction moves with your body to eliminate chaffing or rubbing
  • Silicon grippers on top help the warmers stay in place while you're riding hard

Comments about Nashbar Thermal Knee Warmers:

Good grip material holds knee warmer in place against skin if worn tucked under shorts. I've got other more expensive brand name warmers that constantly drop down and need to be pulled back up and re-adjusted. Good level of insulation. I'll be getting more of these.

Comments about Nashbar Thermal Knee Warmers:

Great knee warmers at a great price. These are longer and have grippers only on the thigh end, unlike my previous pair which had grippers below the knees too that only served to pull the warmers down. These are well made and well designed. If you get cold knees like I do, these are a must. Buy em'!

Comments about Nashbar Thermal Knee Warmers:

These knee warmers are my new favorite apparel accessory. They are lightweight, stay up during the ride, and have a very soft brushed feel inside. I love having my knees covered when the ride starts out cool, and having the ability to remove and pack them away later. They are not bulky. Great price.

Comments about Nashbar Thermal Knee Warmers:

There's a lot of folks out there who think knee warmers are silly or unnecessary.

I say bollocks. My knees are attached to my legs, and I can feel the ache they have in the cold that they have at NO other times.

On spring and fall days when the weather can circulate between extremes several times, tights are simply not the most efficient option. These babies are perfect.

The silicon band on the top opening is seriously stick without yanking hairs (I'm not much of a roadie, so I'm on the furry side) and keeps everything exactly where you put it.

I'm about somewhere in the 5'11" range and have proportionally correct thighs. I bought the mediums and they fit perfectly. Tight, but not binding.

I've used them in weather where tights would have been the better option and they have saved me from discomfort, I highly recommend them.

Use it when its cool, but not cold enough for full leg warmers. Perfect fit for me. Exactly what I wanted in the product.

What's not great: they are not free.

Comments about Nashbar Thermal Knee Warmers:

I'm 5'3", 120 lbs (female) but my legs are thicker than many of my size. I actually ordered these in large (I wear medium in shorts) because my husband recently ordered Nashbar brand knee warmers for himself (I thought the same ones but they are different fabrics and style) in medium and they were painfully too small/tight on me, I could barely get them on. Mine (large) fit very nicely, not too tight but I think snug enough so they won't slip down. Odd, I also ordered the Nashbar leg warmers, but in medium instead because I was concerned about large being too long, and those mediums aren't too tight like my husband's medium knee warmers, so perhaps a medium knee warmer of this style would have worked. I'm debating about exchanging them for a medium, but the larges don't seem excessively loose. And the length is wonderful - longer with more coverage than my husband's mediums, must have just been a different style/cut as well. I like how they can extend longer than just below the knee, to mid-calf, which is more comfortable. Also the fabric on these is very soft and comfortable, and warm with a nice lining. The fabric feels like good quality. They will be a great, warmer option than my knickers which are not lined. I have not worn these on a ride yet but the fabric and lining appears identical to the Nashbar leg warmers I just got and I have worn those on a ride and they were toasty warm!

Comments about Nashbar Thermal Knee Warmers:

Ordered and received the knee warmers right in time for a long cycling event. My left knee was warm and well protected from the early day's cool weather. The right side however kept falling down during the ride to where I finally accepted the fact that it was a "ankle warmer"; and not a stylish one at that.
