Comments about Michelin Pro4 Road Tire:

One of the few tires I am always on the lookout for: if they are on sale, I buy a supply.
I like the 25mm for my size, front and back (200lb). I run the front at 95 psi and rear at 115. Great ride, great roll.

Comments about Michelin Pro4 Road Tire:

I pinch flated two tubes believing I'd have to muscle these on with levers. Then when working the last side of the tire onto the rim I first drew the air out of the normally seated inflated tube and was able to mount by hand. Not sure why I never thought or heard of this before but seems you have to give a tight tire room to give in the rim during mounting.

Comments about Michelin Pro4 Road Tire:

I ride a set of 25mm Pro 4's on my Domane 4.3. The ride quality is great and I'm very happy I put them on my bike. As a bonus they are much lighter than the stock Bontrager R1 tires that came on the bike. I've only used them for 100 miles or so, it will take some more time to see how they hold up.

Comments about Michelin Pro4 Road Tire:

80s era Pinerello with 36 spoke high flange Campy hubs. Made the switch from Gatorskin 25s to Pro4 25s and amazed at the difference. Bike feels alive again. I ride almost exclusively on chip seal roads in rural Washington County Oregon with surfaces ranging from smooth to very coarse pavement. These Pro4 tires grip very well, making the bike much more connected to the road. The lightweight sidewalls combined with a sufficient tread band yield a conforming power transfer and stable but lively presence through the handlebar. These aren't Clements Setas but the closest I've felt since hanging up my old racing wheels. Highly recommended especially if you can get them on sale. Put it this way, after riding a set, I bought more and swapped out brand-new Gatorskins on my other bike because the feel is so good.

Comments about Michelin Pro4 Road Tire:

I've been a happy user of Continental GP4000S2 tires on my road bike for years, but picked up a set of these on sale after reading a lot of positive reviews. So far they have proven as good or better. I've used these for four century rides including stretches of packed dirt, potholes, and a lot of cracked pavement. I also use them for my weekend training rides which start on glass-strewn, nasty suburban Boston roads. In four months and more than 1,500 miles I've gotten one flat from a shard of glass that appears to have gradually worked its way through. There are the normal cuts in the outer rubber layer but no worse than even the incredibly uncomfortable Gatorskins I used back in the day. Ride quality is exceptional - smooth, quiet, grippy, and fast. The rear tire is a bit squared off in the center, but that's been my experience with every comfortable tire, and for the hard miles I've put on them (220 lbs) not really surprising. The current sale price on Nashbar is a deal - get a pair just to have them ready when you need them.

I ride everyday, no matter the weather, for one or plus hours. These tires have a great road feel and last. I use another wheel/tire combo for racing, however for training this is my go to tire for feel and durability.

Comments about Michelin Pro4 Road Tire:

I have been using the Pro 4 Service Course tires in 700x25 since 2012. They provide a very good fast sure ride. I'm very impressed with the road feel especially when cornering. Be aware that these aren't a heavy commuter tire and "can" get cut if there's a lot of trash on the roads. The 25 size does run large so be aware if clearances are tight in your frame. The only problems that I've had with any of the sets that I've had is when I've been stupid in my riding. The first couple of sets that I've had I ran down to the cords. Good tires at a great price.
