I use this on an indoor trainer. It's very comfortable. No need to get exotic. It's not too soft and not too had. Just right.

Comments about Nashbar FS1 Men's Saddle:

Bought this when on discounted sale to try out. Very happy with saddle, replaced an old saddle on my MTB, not only lighter (not a primary concern) but much more comfortable than old saddle. Rode 16 miles of dirt roads no problem. For the price definitely a 5 Star item.

Bought two, one for my hybrid Trek 750 and the other for my 1981 Panasonic, now my indoor bike on the wind-loader. The saddle is very comfortable and is much better than the original saddles that came with both bikes.

This is a good seat. I am 6'-4" and about 260lbs and ride 6-10 hours a week. This seat is a very nice seat for the price. A little wider and longer than my old seat but that is just something I need to get used to.

Comments about Nashbar FS1 Men's Saddle:

Great saddle. The slight extra width and padding work great for a 58 year old rear end that has lost some natual padding. When you find a comfortable saddle buy two, so I ordered an extra. My brother rode my road bike and liked the saddle so much that he ordered one.

            Great Value!!!
            Great Price!!!
I use this on my mountain bike for weekly single track technical riding and a two-times a year 350 mile rail trail ride at around 60-70 miles per day. Wanted something that I could try first without spending a lot that would serve both purposes. Held up well for the long ride. Sticks to the bike shorts just a little on the single track, but for the money, I am very satisfied. Great purchase!!!

I installed this saddle on a Cannondale Quick 3 and rode it in the Adirondack Mountains. It was more comfortable than the Terry saddle on my road bike. I am strongly considering purchasing another one for the road bike.

Comments about Nashbar FS1 Men's Saddle:

I first tried one on my road bike and after completing a couple of 50+ mile rides without soreness, I bought the same saddle for my commuter and mountain bikes. I like a narrow nose to minimize thigh chafing and free leg movement and a squarish padded back end for my sit bones. This saddle delivers both and I have used it lately for two century rides with zero bum fatigue. The nose is a bit long for mountain biking and can snag traditional spandex style shorts when you try to slide off the back in steep terrain. But I wear mountain bike shorts for those rides and that solves the problem. One of the three saddles I ordered is prone to creaking but I think that has more to do with road grit at the seat post bolts.

Comments about Nashbar FS1 Men's Saddle:

I tried this saddle on my touring tandem after using 4 other saddles. I immediately discovered that it has the exact amount of padding and width for my 160 pound frame. The center slot puts no pressure on my aging crotch which was a cause of discomfort on previously used models. Also, the width doesn't interfere with leg movement. So, I figured I'd try it on my commuter. Same result. Well then, why not try it on my mountain bike? This saddle made all the difference in long bumpy ride comfort. I live in one of the more preferred mountain biking areas in the U.S. So, our trail system is extensive and complete with everything from smooth and easy Rails to Trails to very technical single track and bombing downhill. The Nashbar FS1 provides all the comfort I require...on my hardtail! I just bought another one for my cross bike...that makes 5 now. (There is another one on my single touring bike that I do as much as 10 hours and 75 miles a day on). For me, the Nashbar FS1 is a surefire winner. Oh, and the price is right in the ballpark for MY wallet too.
