Being safe at night is as easy as slapping a Niterider Mako 200 USB bike headlamp on your bike. It's a powerful, LED lamp that is powerful enough to let motorists see you coming a long way off. It's also USB rechargeable, so you can recharge pretty much anywhere without having to carry a heavy charger with you.
Single piece construction with internal Nickle Zinc battery means there's no wires or cords to tangle with
Quick release handlebar mount with single-hand locking ability

NiteRider Mako 200 USB Headlight

The light is bright enough. Works well for finishing a ride in the evening as it is getting dark. I only have needed it for less than one hour so can't really rate the longevity of the battery. I like the USB charging feature as I know I won't run out of light during a ride. The handle bar mount would be better if there was a screw or twist knob to really ratchet down the mount so bumps don't cause it to slip downward. I also have a helmet mount which I use on my tandem due to a handle bar bag and with that mount it is more versatile as you can sweep the area in front and get a larger field of view. This is my second purchase of this model. Bought one for my wife's ride.
