Comments about Hutchinson Nitro Road Tire:

Good price, BUT....most difficult tire to install ever even after use. One person unable to install without a lot of difficulty, and need to use tire irons which pinched tubes on install. Prone to flats. Had to return as I went through too many tubes. Great that Nahbar stands behind products.
Continentals are usually tough to install but these are way worse.

Can't even mount them

Comments about Hutchinson Nitro Road Tire:

I purchased these because they were cheap and figured I could get as much use out of them as I currently get out of the Gator skins (which usually go flat before they wear out, thank you Houston roads).

Way too tight. Tried mounting and pinch-flatted too many tubes. I have changed many many tires, but this is the first time I've had one that was so awful. In addition, i broke 4 of my 6 tire levers, so time to get another set of those when I pick up tubes and a better tire.

Comments about Hutchinson Nitro Road Tire:

Bought these because I needed a cheap tire. Once I opened the box I realized they are whitewall.
I am too embarrassed to use them but due to the return fee I won't get any money back for sending them back.
I'm hoping to find someone to give them to.

Only ridden once. Feels durable but heavy. Guess it goes with the territory. Good for riding city streets on route to training grounds.

                    I ride non-city pavement mostly. These tires have been 400 miles...including 30 miles towing a 60 pound trailer. I weigh 200. I paid around 10 bucks I didn't have high expectations. For what I paid I'm extremely happy...great value.

Comments about Hutchinson Nitro Road Tire:

Excellent, lightweight rubber, will roll at 120 psi. It corners decently, and handles rough surfaces well. The only downside is the sidewall, thinner than most, and prone to puncture flats. It is not easy to mount onto the wheel, but once on, you will notice a "sprint" in the roll! Nice

Comments about Hutchinson Nitro Road Tire:

I upgraded from a kenda 700x25 to the nitro 700x23 for easier pedaling and overall sleek fit. These were really tough to put on but I used some baby powder and it was smooth sailing after that. Don't put too much on as it can heat up and adhere to inside of tire. Three days later I was on the Redbud ride and completed the 70 mile course. At the end with about two miles to go I crossed some railroad tracks and within 30 seconds knew that the tire blew. Had to walk it back. Make sure you pump them up before each ride, inflate to max on sidewall, will help prevent pinch flats. I've read that the 23's are prone to this. The bike handles different at high speed, could be my age too (49). The hills are or seem easier. The Whitewalls go well with my Tommiso road bike. I got them on sale for 8 bucks a piece. Live to ride
