    Comments about Nashbar FR1 Saddle:

I no longer think about my saddle. Previous saddle was like a torture rack, and I had to get off bike to stretch and allow blood flow to return to my saddle region. New saddle is great, and now the only time I have to get off is when I just can't make it up some hill. I have logged about 70 miles on it so far with no complaints. Recommended.

      Comments about Nashbar FR1 Saddle:

This the second I purchased. Put one on my MTB to replace factory one damaged in a crash. Very comfortable for up to 40 mile ride. My wife liked it and bought one for her road bike. Lightweight saddle. Great price and better when on sale. For the comfort and price can't see spending huge bucks for the name brands which can easily get torn up from a drop or a crash. Material was a little wrinkled but certain will smooth out with use.

      Comments about Nashbar FR1 Saddle:

My stock racing seat was ok in terms of padding and use but I got horrible numbness with it, in the worst places. I tried this seat based on the reviews and price. The padding seems perfect to my fingers by doesn't seem to work well for me on the bike. The cut out resolved the numbness but for whatever reason it absolutely kills my sit bones. I have used it for several 80+ mile rides but I can't do more than 20 miles without having to get off for a while due to pain. The material is really grippy- so much so that sometimes it seems to make the chamois wrinkle. The other seats I have used allowed more sliding and motion on the seat, but I am not sure if that is what is making the seat so uncomfortable for me. I have used creams but I still get pressure spots and can't seem to find a way to make the seat work, so after a few months of use I am giving up. Saddles are a very individual choice that have to fit to your particular anatomy, and this one didn't agree with me.

          Comments about Nashbar FR1 Saddle:

I love this saddle. Along with my new Canari Grand Prix shorts. I got the sit bones for this saddle. It cradles and centers my seating position. I use to slump to one side my privates hanging to one side out. And when its time to go into the drops, the extra padding in the rear of the saddle is there for me to mash all day, up or across the great devide.

            Comments about Nashbar FR1 Saddle:

For me the saddle has been the most comfortable. I'm 5 feet tall and have tried and thought 134mm width was my fit for my sit bones. I tried this 130mm width and it feels much more comfortable "ON THE LONG ALL DAY RIDES"
The padding in the back is softer and I'm feeling better going into the drops position when it's time to cheat the wind or climb. I've ridden without padding and that's when the hurt after 25 miles happens and I feel like crying even embrocation crème could not save me from the sand paper chafe. With a padded gel bib or short no problems. "Bring On the Smiles n Miles! If you see other cyclist who are happy and smile Youlle begin to know why.
Thanks Nash bar for the great saddle. I wanna try the Nash saddle that someone commented feels like FIZIK Aliante/Ardea hybrid saddle.I saw a person at the bike shop getting a pro fitting on an FELT tri bike and I noticed ,like me they had the Nash FR1 saddle. I thought to my self, wow I'm doing something right on my 2012 Nashbar Famous maker SRAM Force Road bike.

            Comments about Nashbar FR1 Saddle:

It's really well made, and looks great in white, but it's the most uncomfortable seat I've ever owned. I've always ridden ultralight race bike seats, so I'm accustomed to spartan seating without total comfort, but this one achieves a whole new level of butt pain. No amount of adjustment solved the problem. Imagine riding on a piece of wood post that's just a bit too narrow for your sit bones and you'll get the idea. I'm not a big person and it seems like this was too small. Maybe my sit bones are wider than usual? Never had much trouble with other seats though.

                  Comments about Nashbar FR1 Saddle:

I used to MTB with a Selle Italia Flight for many many years. I've been wanting a new saddle with a deep central channel for a while now. It just seemed like it would offer some relief in that area. This channel is big and is great! If you're used to a seat like the Selle Italia Flight, then you'll love this. I had no issues with being uncomfortable at all. It was a very good upgrade for me! And, this seat weighed just about the same as my Flight.
