Comments about Nashbar Soho Pedals:

I have a pair of click'r pedals on another bike. Since they have catches on both sides, it feels weird to ride without cycling shoes. I put these on my MB and really like it that I can ride comfortably without cycling shoes as well as with.

    Comments about Nashbar Soho Pedals:

My first SPD cleats, I used to use the old style cleat and clips from the 1960'a through 1980's.
I am having trouble getting shoes cleated in, but I guess that will pass, just as it did for the old style, or shall I say ancient style!!!

I do like that I found these as I can go for a casual commute downtown to my office at will without putting on cleated shoes. This is a similar reason to why I stuck with the rat trap pedals and toe clips as it didn't matter much what shoes I used.

      Comments about Nashbar Soho Pedals:

The platform side comes in handy for the occasional street shoe ride or when being clipped in feels sketchy. For a newbie to clipless pedals, these pedals take away the "performance pressure" of taking off at a busy intersection. This is especially true if you find yourself having to restart mid-way up a steep hill.

The SPD mechanics work perfectly. They come set at the lowest adjustment for tightness, which is still plenty secure for riding while allowing for easy (and fast) disconnect.

        Comments about Nashbar Soho Pedals:

I started commuting more and riding with a bike trailer and decided it was time to change my SPD-SL pedals out for a standard SPD pedal. I wanted one with the platform on the other side without breaking the bank and the SOHO fit the bill.

So far I have been really impressed. I purchased two pairs and replaced them on both my road bike and mountain bike. They are well weighted and easy to clip into. The platform is comfortable with enough grip to feel secure. I appreciate they also come with the shoe hardware. They seem well constructed.
Considering I got two sets for less than I would have paid for one set of another brand it was deal!

            Comments about Nashbar Soho Pedals:

This was my first venture into clipless pedals. I wasn't sure I would love them and find a shoe that I love, so I wanted to still be able to wear my chacos when biking around casually. What I have found is that I have only use the non-clip side a few times. It is a great versatile option, and I love them! I would certainly buy again. I am not a "racer" but I don't want to get where I am going and have a great ride on the trail from time to time, I can also slip on a pair of shoes or sandals and bike down to dinner.

              Comments about Nashbar Soho Pedals:

(Gary Fisher Kaitai) Replaced the stock pedals with a pair of the SoHo pedals. I'm a bit of a novice with clip less pedals and like having an option to clip in or just pedal normally. I also purchased a pair of Shimano casual shoes and since these pedals came with cleats, I did not have to buy any. The pedals installed quickly and so far I am loving clipping in.

                Comments about Nashbar Soho Pedals:

These are a well-made and versatile pedal. The bearings spin smoothly, and they are easy to clip in and out of. The platforms are on the small side for all-day comfort, but I assume that one would wear cleats for an all-day ride. They are perfectly fine for zipping out to get a coffee in your work shoes. Perhaps the nicest thing about them is the comprehensive mounting kit. They come with cleats and the plates, nuts and screws to outfit a pair of riding shoes. In my case, my shoes were already fitted, but my son received a pair of new shoes that were "naked" that afternoon. Nashbar's thoughtful kit had him up and running in 20 minutes. It is this sort of attention to detail that keeps me coming back as a customer.

                    Comments about Nashbar Soho Pedals:

I think these pedals are great. I have little problem clipping into them and I love the fact that I can use them without my bike shoes. They are very nicely made, lightweight and they work very well. The bearings are a bit tight and they don't just "fall into place", but it doesn't seem to make a difference to me, I imagine they will loosen up in the near future.
