Put on the Uvex FP3 road helmet and you can pretty much forget about having to relearn the alphabet if you crash. While it can't protect you from everything, this is a serious high performance helmet that packs plenty of the latest safety technologies into its sleek, aerodynamic and super-lightweight package. It's a pro-level, well-vented helmet that's ideal for racing, long rides or just going hard in your next group ride.
Roll-over bar technology helps the helmet keep its shape and distribute pressure evenly in the case of a crash
Superlight width and height adjustable sizing system helps you find the perfect fit
Bi-material lining uses a harder foam for maximum strength and stability and a softer component for comfort and to cushion your head
Aerodynamic design cuts wind resistance
21 vents help pull air through the helmet and over your head to keep you cool
Since they only manufacture this helmet in two sizes (S/M and L/XL) you might think the larger size might be too big for a someone who normally wears Large. Think again - the L/XL is two cm smaller than my previous Bell helmet (size Large). So if you have a really big head, look elsewhere. The helmet length just barely fit my head, but the width was a bit loose (and I don't have a particularly skinny head) - so I installed additional pads on the sides under the retaining system to make it snug. Now it fits great. Other than that, this is a great helmet, solidly built and nice looking too. I particularly like the chin strap fastener and Velcro wrap to keep the strap ends from flapping around.
Feels full size too small
