Comments about Louis Garneau Bimax Booties:

I use these on and off road and have been comfortable down into the teens, wet and dry. They're really great overshoes. My only complaint is that the zippers both broke within a half dozen rides. So, I returned the first pair and got another set. Same thing happened. I liked them otherwise, though, so I sewed some velcro strips into place and have been rolling with it since. I don't know why manufacturers insist on putting zippers on overshoes. I've never had anything but poor results regardless of brand.

Comments about Louis Garneau Bimax Booties:

XL size fit my SIDI road shoes (size 47 M) perfectly. Size 48 probably ok, any larger would be difficult for an XL, Cutout around the cleats ( Shimano road, SH-PD6800) also fit perfectly. Fit around the ankle good (6'1"/180 lbs).

Not super heavy. Will most likely work fine in the 20's with correct socks, but need to ride in cold conditions before I know for sure.

Comments about Louis Garneau Bimax Booties:

I do all my commuting by bicycle, so I picked up a pair of booties to make winter commuting more comfortable.

I've been pleasantly surprised! On cold days, my toes still get cold, even with wool socks and these booties. But the booties have made my hour long commute - sometimes with temperatures below 15 degrees F - easily bearable.

These booties have also done a wonderful job of keeping my feet dry in rainy, slushy and snowy conditions. The ankle part of the booties doesn't keep water out - but that's not a problem if you have rain pants.

All in all, this was a great buy for the price.

Comments about Louis Garneau Bimax Booties:

Large fits well over my 43.5 mountain bike shoes. Not sure I would try going bigger. Road in 40F with some Woolie Boolie's and my feet were very warm. Have only used three times so I can't speak for durability but they seem fine. No complaints so far and I am a big old whinner.

The first 2 times I wore these were on bitterly cold (mid 20s) and windy days (20+ mph winds). Paired up with some good thermal socks, these booties did the job.
