Louis Garneau Air Gel Pro Gloves - Nashbar Exclusive
Keeping your hands comfy is important, and few gloves will do it better than the Louis Garneau Air Gel Pro. It's a warm weather, half-finger cycling glove that provides some serious padding for long days on the road. It uses strategically placed Air Gel pads to absorb the shocks and jolts of the road so you get less hand fatigue. The breathable mesh palm and durable, form fitting back will keep your hands from overheating or sweating too much inside the gloves.
  • Ergo Air Gel pads on palm provide protection from road vibrations and jolts
  • Breathable mesh palm lets sweat evaporate and keeps your hands cooler
  • Stretch lycra back with a form fitting cut
  • Terry sweat wiper on thumb
  • Pull-on elastic cut keeps the gloves in place

Very comfortable fit, but it's hard to put on and off. There aren't any velcro straps to make it easier to put on/off.

Comments about Louis Garneau Air Gel Pro Gloves - Nashbar Exclusive:

Very comfortable, easy on/off glove. They run a bit large so consider this when ordering. I wear a size 7 glove and ordered a small and it fits great. They are lightweight and allow for good ventilation while riding but yet feel durable enough. I am a recreational rider that sticks mostly to trails although usually doesn't go out for less than 10 miles at a time.

Got a pair in White, they look great on, are super comfortable, make for even safer hand-signals at dusk/at night, and should I ever take a spill from my very tall "comfort" Trek bike, I'm happy to have them get shredded rather than my palms. Also nice and lightweight, very breathable, and they machine wash perfectly.

I've worn the gloves for several hour long rides. Thanks to posted reviews suggesting going one-size smaller, I ordered medium when I ordinarily wear large gloves. The gloves are comfortably snug and have held up so far.

Comments about Louis Garneau Air Gel Pro Gloves - Nashbar Exclusive:

Price is right, very comfortable, lack of velcro strap makes on and off very easy. They are consequently a little bit more lose while riding, but it isn't a problem for road biking. Might be an issue during intense off roading.

Comments about Louis Garneau Air Gel Pro Gloves - Nashbar Exclusive:

There is no such thing as padding pressure points, small pads flatten out quickly and force your hands in specific grips which is not comfortable either. Bring back Spenco gloves, the best gloves I have ever owned.

Comments about Louis Garneau Air Gel Pro Gloves - Nashbar Exclusive:

I had a pair of these gloves that I used for road biking for the last couple of years. Normally when you find a product you like, two years later it's no longer available. I was happy to find that this product was still available. These are comfortable gloves for road biking, very grippy with gel padding in the obvious places. Not too much padding, just the right amount in my opinion. The only noticeable change they made in the glove is that it doesn't have the velcro strap on the back of the hand that makes the glove easier to put on and take off. The current glove design you simply slide your hand into. Only reason I didn't give it a 5* rating. Easier getting on than taking off, that is the only inconvenience. The best part about these gloves is that they last. The stitching is good and they won't fall apart. That has been my biggest problem with bike gloves. You find a type that you like and they work great until you hand wash them a few times and the stitching starts coming out. I've had good luck with these gloves, so I bought two pairs this time…….Recommended.

I use these on my road bike. I like the fit and fabric these are made of. The only con is padding placement. I prefer the padding at the heel of the hand to go all the way across the heel rather than have the padding with a small "break" in it.

Comments about Louis Garneau Air Gel Pro Gloves - Nashbar Exclusive:

They are labeled as gel but the gel is very thin. Perhaps I just need more but the Nashbar gloves that I've had for years are very padded and have served me well. My wrists were sore after a few hours of riding. I don't think it's something I'll get used to so I wont be using the gloves anymore. Perhaps they will work fine for others though. I've definitely learned a lesson about what constitutes gel padded.

Plenty comfortable, but large is bigger than you might think. If you vacillate between M/L, definitely go M.
