Comments about Louis Garneau Contender Gloves - Nashbar Exclusive:

I have never had a pair of gloves in my 15 years of riding last more than a couple of months. Some I have killed after 3 or 4 rides, literally. These gloves hold up great, I like that there is no closure strap, because they're not going anywhere. They don't have that much padding, but they work fine unless I am on a really long ride. Then my hands get a little sore, but they always do. I just bought a new pair because they were on sale, but the old ones are still working after 6 months.

Comments about Louis Garneau Contender Gloves - Nashbar Exclusive:

I didn't realize that these gloves don't have a Velcro closure that my other gloves use. I got lucky with my sizing - they fit fine, but if they didn't I wouldn't have been able to adjust them. Also, because of the lack of Velcro, they're harder to remove than my old pair. I'm a bit concerned that they may stretch out over time and feel sloppy big - but so far, I haven't had that problem over the first couple of rides.

Comments about Louis Garneau Contender Gloves - Nashbar Exclusive:

Just getting back into cycling after many years. I can't believe the changes in bikes, equipment and, well, gloves! So much better than in the early 90's. I can only compare these gloves to those I wore in those days. These are quite a bit cooler and more comfortable. Time will tell if they are durable. I wondered if the lack of an adjustable closure would cause them to slip around or try to come off. No. Good gloves.

Comments about Louis Garneau Contender Gloves - Nashbar Exclusive:

Like these gloves, lightweight, good price, great for the road, and I have old gloves (also Nashabr) w thicker padding if I need them. They are still new but as I use them they are getting a bit easier to put on, to remove, it helps to start with the back of the glove and not the fingers:) They are very comfortable, just not real easy to get on and off, but I like not having a velcro strap that comes loose on my older bike gloves.
