Comments about Nashbar AT2 Mountain Bike:

My wife and I decided to make biking our cardio routine of choice, and these bikes are great. We purchased the Nashbar Kid Karriage II for our 14 month old too, and he loves going for rides with us. We go to different state parks in the area 3 times a week, and ride between 5 - 10 miles. The bikes are holding up well.

Comments about Nashbar AT2 Mountain Bike:

Very nice bike. Easy to assemble (although the handle bars were connected to the stem backwards). Yeah, the handle bars and the stem arrived connected and the two were obviously not connected to post for shipping. So, I slide the stem over the post and thought, this looks odd. No big deal, someone must have been in a hurry when they put the two together. Disconnected the stem, flipped the handlebars so the breaks, shifters, and pads were oriented correctly, and secured everything. Great bike for driving to work or hitting the local greenway.

Purchased as a replacement to a AT1 29er which I sold to a friend. The quality of the AT2 is very good. Shipping was fast and packaging was excellent. Assembly was a breeze.

Comments about Nashbar AT2 Mountain Bike:

This is an exceptional quality bike for the price. This is the second that I purchased (purchased same for my oldest son two years ago) and they keep getting better and better. Components have held up, just changed the rear derailer after two years of hard riding. I love the blackout look on this bike too. Easy to put together. IF YOUR LOOKING FOR A BIKE I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ONE. ITS EASILY A $400+ BIKE AT BIKE STORE.

The bike is great if your on a budget. The seat and handlebars must go. Other than that it's a great bike. It is heavy.

This bike is perfect commuting and trail riding. There is a little room for upgrades (starting with the brakes) but I am very happy with my purchase. I would suggest putting a link to videos you have for bike assembly as the instructions provided don't really state everything you need to know.

bought this to replace a stolen FUJI Nevade we used as a kid transporter to/from daycare. It's a great city bike and handles/feels like an expensive hard-tail. Highly recommend for new mountain bikers and commuters. Great value for the price.

This was a birthday present for my son who was ready to move up to a "grown up" bike. It arrived quickly, undamaged and was easy to assemble. This is a good looking, well built entry level mountain bike. The components are of good quality except the pedals which should be upgraded.

Comments about Nashbar AT2 Mountain Bike:

I've only had the bike a couple of weeks, but I've taken it on several rides. About 50% of the riding I've done on the bike has been path riding through the woods. The bike handled bumps and rough terrain easily, and makes rides more comfortable than I anticipated. Another welcome surprise are the trigger gear change levers. They are a ton better than the twist shifters I'm use to.

Other than the weight of the bike being on the heavy side I haven't found any other negatives. I would HIGHLY recommend this bike if you're just getting into mountain biking, or just need a casual rider that you can take off road. IMO, I think you'll be hard pressed to find a better value than this bike.
