Comments about Nashbar AT2 Women's Mountain Bike:

I bought this for my wife after her last bike was stolen. She wanted this to pull a couple babies around town and for occasional trail riding.

It was pretty simple to get together, though fine tuning the brake pads has been a bear so far two days and two rides and while I can get the pads to stop rubbing for 30 minutes they seem to get out of alignment too easily.

Assembly wasn't too tough. The nashbar mountain bike assembly youtube helped but if this is your first time (like me) putting a bike together just look for other youtube videos for the part you're working on and you can find more detail. I learned a ton and now can fix a lot of things on my bike myself I might not have otherwise. I took about two hours for a novice without a bike stand to get it together.

      Awesome bike for the price.

Comments about Nashbar AT2 Women's Mountain Bike:

I am new to the cycling world, but wanted a mountain bike I could ease into the sport with. I didn't want to spend a lot - got a great deal with an extra 40% off - and wanted something reliable that I wouldn't have to replace within a year or so. The bike fits me well (I'm 5'4" and got the 15") and rides perfectly. The seat it comes with is stupidly uncomfortable so ended up spending an extra $20 on a cloud nine seat which fixed the problem. . Would absolutely recommend this bike to a any level rider.

Comments about Nashbar AT2 Women's Mountain Bike:

I wanted a decent MTB for my wife and this seemed like a great deal. The frame looks very similar to the trek Skye, but the components are far better. I got the 15" for my 5'4" wife and it fits her well. It is a tad heavy but will definitely take a beating.

I was initially disappointed because the brakes had been installed incorrectly on the handlebars. It was not too difficult to fix, but I did strip a screw. I told nashbar what happened and they sent me a replacement screw immediately and waived the return shipping cost for another item. I appreciated their prompt response and willingness to make up for their mistake. I have since bought other items with no issues.

Comments about Nashbar AT2 Women's Mountain Bike:

I am a commuter/road cyclist who wanted a mountain bike for occasional riding on trails and moderate single track with my family. I didn't want to spend a lot of money. This bike fulfills my needs.

The bike came partially assembled and it was realtively easy to complete assembly, however, there weren't any instructions in the box or on the website. I watched some Youtube vidoes to figure it out. I substituted clipless pedals for the stock pedals, but otherwise assembled it as is.

The bike is sturdy and surprisingly light. It shifts and handles well. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles and premium components of a high end mountain bike, but if you don't need that, it is more than adequate.
