Comments about Polar Artist Series 24oz Insulated Water Bottle:

Good bottle. Does it's job however not as "insulated" as you thought it would be. Leaks sometimes even when closed properly and tightly. There are small grooves inside the bottle that become home for mold. This makes it difficult to clean even with a baby bottle brush.

Comments about Polar Artist Series 24oz Insulated Water Bottle:

I bought two of these bottles. They get the job done. We have had some very hot days in NY already this season and my rides have lasted close to 3 hours in the mid day and afternoon sun with very little loss of temp. Very happy I am using these as my non insulated bottled allowed my drinks to literally warm up on long rides

Comments about Polar Artist Series 24oz Insulated Water Bottle:

The first time I took them on a ride it was 90 degrees and my water stayed much cooler than with conventional bottles. These bottles are a little bit bulky but well worth the trade off of not having to drink warm water.

Comments about Polar Artist Series 24oz Insulated Water Bottle:

I bought this because my other Polar water bottle that I had for 8 years finally started wearing out (stopper was getting loose after so much use). Polar makes a great water bottle, so purchasing another was a no-brainer. I also like that they're branching out into offering interesting designs, which is why I bought an Artist Series bottle.

Comments about Polar Artist Series 24oz Insulated Water Bottle:

I'd like to start by addressing the frequent problem reviewers are having - namely, fitting this bottle in their cages and getting it in and out on a ride. I'm 5 feet tall and had to have a road bike frame custom-built for me, because there is no manufacturer that makes a stock frame small enough. That being said, this bottle fits on my down tube, and isn't any harder to slide in and out of the cage than a smaller-sized water bottle. However, because I have such a small frame, I practiced with removing bottles on the fly a lot - so I think that in this case, it just takes some practice for "big people" who are used to something a little easier. This bottle is a couple of centimeters taller than the average 24oz bottle. Anything taller would not fit on my bike, and this bottle doesn't fit on the seat tube - I ordered a second 20oz Polar bottle from Nashbar anticipating this, and that one fits on the seat tube so that I can have two insulated bottles on a ride. There are manufacturers out there who make insulated bottles that are the same size as "normal" bottles, but their interior volumes are less. It's up to you and how thirsty you are!
I actually bought this bottle (and the other one) to keep liquids warm, more than cold, for cold days riding. So far I haven't had the opportunity to try it this way since it hasn't gotten cold here yet. I have noticed that cold liquids stay cold for longer. I also use this on the ice for speed skating practice, and have noticed the liquid doesn't get as cold from sitting on the ice for 2 hours. (and no, I haven't tried the warm liquid test on ice, because even something slightly warm will melt a divot in the ice)
So far this bottle has been very durable, easy to wash, and doesn't absorb flavors as much as a non-insulated bottle. At first use, it seemed harder to squeeze, as others have said, but now after several uses it doesn't feel that way anymore. The 20oz version of this bottle never felt harder to squeeze at all. I'm giving it 4 stars because I haven't tested it yet for the main reason I purchased it - the warm liquid test.

Bought two of these on sale. They work great! I filled about halfway and put in freezer the night before. Did a 30 mile ride. After loading up and driving back home (about 3 hours) what was left in my second bottle was still very cold.

Bought 2 of these a few weeks ago, 1 for me and 1 for my daughter. Both of us are satisfied with it's function and design. Keeps drink cool and is contoured for easy gripping and handling. No plastic taste (BPA free). There's a few designs to choose from. Great price for the product you're getting. Highly recommend.
